Cant even get to menu

I installed RTW gold correctly and EB correctly and I click on the EB icon, it loads, i wait...everytime after about 3-5 minutes it shuts down and sends me back to windows. Im dying to play this mod. Please help. There are no error messages. Anyone had this happen? Thanks

There are several things there you can try for crashes at the start.

I have tried to install EB on a clean RTW gold 4 times now, and I have tried about everything else I could find in the forums as well. But I have not tried the validation tool, so I will do that and let you guys know what transpires. Thanks a bunch.

Make sure you installed EB to The Creative Assembly instaed of Activision if you have RTW gold.

This was my problem exactly a few months ago. I was desperate since I could find anything that I possibly could have done wrong. And I had downloaded and installed it so many time I was sure I couldn't have a corrupt download or a faulty install each time.

And now I can enjoy EB! And what an enjoyment it is!

So I ran the diagnostic. These were the results.

You seem to have a corrupt install. There are changes to files, or some are missing.
However, these may be conscious changes you have made, to remod EB. See below for details.

I dont know if that helps. Also I have tried EVERYTHING suggested. I have now installed the game 8 times.
I have tried everything suggested on Bovi's list except the patches which I am doing now (so far with no positive result)
Please Help!

Try to get this file and extract it into <RTW>/Data/packs.

I got it working and am amazed with the quality of this mod. Only complaint would be the load times but they are more than worth it. Just wanted to say thanks for everyones help. Especially Bovi. If youre ever in the San Diego area I'll buy you a beer.
