So guess what I've been playing all morning?

Here are some screenies, and a slight review.

None of them are too good, but they just happened to be when i hit the f10.

Anyways, from what I've seen is the soviets and allies are very big rushers. You get terror drones dogs bears or inf out as fast as possible then work on an economy. While the new race, rising sun, is a slow to build but very powerful in the end. Their navy(which is by far my favorite) has a great mix of AA AS Anti Armor Anti building... and well anti everything. The shogun battle ships are incredibly op, but fun none the less. Well ima play some more and if I get new screens and some good battle stories I'll post them here.

Is their still time to get the Beta? because they said they'll stop giving out the codes at begining of september (if you got it when purchased the Tiberium Wars Expansion)

I see its all still very work in progress (they all share the Same UI, possibly the soviet one) and I guess the icon with 6 orbs and II the middle is a place holder?

End on a less... exclusive note: Steve irwin has been ressurected in RA3!, then killed again by a Stingray... this one

I know its only a beta, but those screenies look pretty poor.

That was discussion, and plus it dosn't say what I added, and I certainly didnt add that!,

But anyway, that is no longer Important and it can be forgotten, the C&C section on uncyclopedia is being done over I think.

    But back to topic. -

    "Edit"
I did remember something, which I added that day:

even though Abokasee is from england
which someone decided to edit and put "N(word) from afrikka"

I dont think its the guild who done this then, probably my Friends at TASpring there dicks at times (FARLESHADOW AND LORDSPAWN HERE I COME!)

On a more sensible note.... why bother?

    NOW! back to topic.

I've just entered my Beta Code, knowing my luck I'll probably get it mid october...

Cast for Red Alert 3 revealed.

Overall, I'd be very excited about the cast.

    Tim Curry? Awesome!

    Kelly Hu? Cool.

    Jonathan Pryce? Sweet.

    J.K. Simmons? Outstanding.

    George Takei? Can't wait!

    However....

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    Jenny McCarthy playing Tanya???!!

    Just *kill* me now.

Seriously, what the ******* hell are they thinking??! My desire for this game has suddenly plummeted.

Okay, yeah I know you were being more-or-less facetious. Still, to give a semi-serious answer, that would be like telling me I don't have to play as the Muslim factions in MTW. Sure, I don't have to, but I still *want* to.

Umm... use a Magic 8Ball before each FMV?
If its a postive answer watch (50% chance)
    If its negative don't (25%)
If its non-comital just play it safe and skip? (25%)

Like Kari Wurher could actually act. Besides her ability (or lack there of) with the obivous chesse-ball nature of the live action will work.

Well she can still act better than McCarthy can.

In addition to which, at least Wurher is a brunette. McCarthy, however, is a blonde -- whoever heard of a *blonde* Tanya??

The orignal Tanya was a red head. Soooo yeah....

I probably won't even play the allied campaign. I mean, Tim Curry as a Russian premier? An empire ruled by Mr. Sulu? That's just too awesome for me to care about anything else in the game. (Except maybe the armoured bears.)

Thumbs down Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 *will* have SecuROM

Well, my extreme displeasure with McCarthy playing Tanya aside, it looks like I have a more concrete reason to not get the game: Red Alert 3 will be shipped with SecuROM (albeit a slightly less restrictive version than what's currently in Spore).

I’ve been hearing your concerns about the DRM situation and wanted to get back to you with some information about our plans. In the case of Red Alert 3 (and all PC titles coming out of EA), we will use SecuROM – the same copy protection that the EALA RTS group has used on our last three titles. This time around, however, the copy protection will be configured to be more lenient than we've supported in the past.

I know this can be somewhat of a polarizing topic, and I thought it would be best to open the lines of communication with some facts:

    - We will authenticate your game online when you install and launch it the first time.

    - We will never re-authenticate an installation online after the first launch. In other words, no reaching out to a central server post-install to see if you’re “allowed” to play.

    - You will be able to install and play on up to five computers.

    - This system means you don't have to play with the disc in your computer. Personally, I think this is a huge improvement over our previous copy protection requirements, which have always required a disk to play.

    - Life happens. I know it’s unlikely, but for those unlucky few who install the game and have their machines nuked (virus, OS reinstall, major hardware upgrade, etc.) five times, EA Customer Service will be on hand to supply any additional authorizations that are warranted. This will be done on a case-by-case basis by contacting customer support.

-You can, of course, play offline without impediment or penalty.

Red Alert 3 is shaping up to be a world-class RTS game that will give you many hours of enjoyment. I think it would be a shame if people decided to not play a great game simply because it came with DRM, but I understand that this is a very personal decision for many of you and I respect that. As you might imagine, I’m a lot less respectful of those people who take the position that they will illegally download a game simply because it has DRM.

Either way, we’ re very proud of the hard work our team has put into this game and we hope you will all enjoy it when it launches.

*sigh* I'd so looked forward to getting the game. Apparently 'tis not to be, however.

GAH, I was looking forward to RA3, but I refuse to buy games from EA until they remove that damn DRM stuff.

Long(Well hopefully short) live the revoultion.

Gah! indeed. I might just about be able to hold my nose and get a SecuROMed Empire, because it's TW, but RA3 isn't high enough up my priorities list for me to put up with it.

Congratulations EA, you've just lost yourselves £30. What a shame, I was looking forward to it.
