    Default Emergent Factions

    To enable emergent factions, does the faction have to be horde? I was thinking of instead of having a specific city or two rebel to the slave faction, that maybe they could rebel to the Original faction (i.e. Carthago to Carthage) even if the faction was dead.

    The problem with hording is I can't get it to work properly..

    Now, for those of you who responded to my BI hording problems, I thank you but I still could not fix it. If someone could look at that thread for me if they knew how? That is still my biggest hurdle in "the perfect RTW game", and I would greatly appreciate if that topic could be "re-awakened"

    first of all ... "dead is dead" ...

    when a faction is gone the engine (sort of) seems to disable that faction, if you spawn a new army for them, even with hording enabled, they just stand there untill someone wastes a few units to make their lights go less bright ...

    but you can do exactly what you want with BI's features (.. er ... well close to it ;))
    you can set up Carthage so their settlements have the hidden resource "britan" (check correct spelling!) and 1 of them internally called "britannia superior" (again ... check correct spelling!)..

    if someone takes the settlements with the hidden resource britan than a new faction can emerge from the settlement with the internal name of britannia superior ...

    there are some other possibilities but I'm afraid to take away some of your .. er .. say artistic freedom ;)
    just check this out;

    Hmm, so I can't have every faction re-emergable? Darn, I thought it would've been a great idea...that way when a rebellion occured you wouldn't fight random slaves...instead you could fight a new empire.

    The only other thing is for the hording..if anyone can help please check out this thread:

    Here

    Thanks if you can.
