    Default New Screenshot Thread?

We *patient* fans deserve a new screenshot thread, the last one, here, was posted in 2005. Surely you've made some progress on the unit models and skins since then. I know, there's the building thread too, but I (we) want troops, armed with the yari and yumi and naginata and katana and no-dachi. Also, if you do post another thread, use thumbnails, since the older ones vanished because of Imageshack's high bandwidth usage thing - gone forever, never to be seen again...

I wish people would post more stuff out here, just in general like ask about stupid things and stuff.

I mean, Duke John's original mod that we carried on in spirit started at the ORG and not the Center. :-p

    Sengoku Jidai FTW. LOL.

Fun times, what ever happened to DJ?

Ok, here you go, so that people can have a clear view of what the mod offers.

Here are all the units and their unit cards.

Lowest unit, the levy Ashigaru from the Urakami clan, barely armoured and armed with a Yari spear.

An early Tokugawa Ashigaru, armed with a Naginata, long curved blade polearm, he has better armour but is still just an equiped peasant

A minor clan Ashigaru armed with the very long Nagae Yari spear, better armoured and trained, in fact he is a professional soldier typical of the late Sengoku Jidai.

From the Tokugawa clan again, the Yari armed Yari Kachi.

More heavily armoured in haramaki-dõ, a Mori Te Yari Kachi armed with... a Te Yari spear, heavier and perfect for pulling riders off their mounts.

Another Urakami Bushi, an archer, the Yumi Kachi, better shooter and close combat fighter then its Ashigaru equivalent.

Next to each other, both Bushis of the Uesugi clan, a Ashigaru unit officer and a Samurai unit officer.

To lead the Tokugawa army, the Nobori and its bearer, a Ashigaru armed with a Katana sword.

In front of one of his clan's retainers and Noboris, a No Dachi armed Chosokabe shock Bushi.

Elite and inspiring, armed with Naginata and wearing a "starving monk" dõ, a member of the few but decisive Urakami Hatamoto Yakko.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Elite marksman, fierce warrior, inspiring for his comrades, messenger of the Daimyo, armed with Katana, Wakizashi and Yumi bow, a member of the Hosokawa Tsukai Ban.

Feared on all battlefields, swift and deadly, armed with Tachi cavalry sword and Yari spear, the Takeda fire cavalry.

Elite of the elite, fully protected in beautiful rivetted Odekawa Dõ with scalloped plates, armed with the Daisho, Katana and Wakizashi swords, a retainer of the Amako clan, personnal guard of the clan's generals, here dismounted.

Different clan, different Maedate, different colours...

So ya dawgz wanna bone to chew? Well bend over, let Rover take over and get a bone of your own!! Classical Dice

Here's a big battle between a modern Tokugawa army, with professional Ashigarus and Teppos, but with a slight lack of mobility. Charging them is more traditionnal Shimazu taskforce, with levy Ashigarus, No-Dachi Samurais and more mobile troups.

The Tokugawa troups move in position, forcing the Shimazu soldiers to commit first.

Out of the woods, the Shimazu force manoeuvre and finally suround the static, yet confident Tokugawa Bushis.

Both armies meet, the Shimazu Samurais clash in the sturdy Nagae-Yari Ashigarus, while the Tokugawa elite scouts, the Tsukai-Ban, spot some isolated defensless Teppo shooters...
The No-Dachi Bushis try to limit the carnage, their long blade being perfect for cutting horses in two!

The issue of the battle remains uncertain, the Shimazu army put up a strong and ever-evolving fight....

Bummer, I thought that they had ninja with light sabers who could fly and stuff. My kensais used to get killed by the first arrow which landed within a hundred metres of them anyway, so no loss there!

Awesome stuff. Thanks for using thumbnails too, that way they won't be taken down by imageshack later on.
No kensai? Well, it looks like I'll have to add my own 15hp kensai unit.
