However, again I'm taking a risk by playing a faction I've never used before (like Milan). The closest I've come is when I've crushed the KoJ into tiny little pieces as the the Abbasids and Makuria - hopefully that won't happen this time... I mean that definately won't happen this time.

The third rule means that we fight our own battles against the AI instead of using the auto-calc., right?

If someone else had wanted to play them before I psoted I wouldn't of minded. That said, I'm glad I got them.

We now have nine players which is great, but I still have to test setting up the game so we'll wait another day or so before getting underway and see if anyone will take one of the other big factions like Turkey, Khwarezm, Ghazni or the Ayyubids.
