Kermit's made a TWS2 guide? Oh, the other frog....
The diplomacy system was used to break a siege by one faction signing an alliance with another and then immediately breaking that alliance before the sieging faction's turn came up, thus keeping it anonymous. Obviously after that the Coalition was forced to break up in game because it was more of a hinderance than a help. I still haven't been able to break all the necessary in game alliances, so it's entirely possible that it will happen again.

Right, I'm adding this to my list of banned exploits.
This has no in-game justification and is only done in order to achieve an outcome which would be unrealistic in a 'real life' situation. There's no way a sieging army would break off a siege because one of their allies made a secret deal with the besieged party.
I don't know the circumstances in which this happened and whether it was deliberate or an accident, but please don't do this again.
I've made my position on exploits very clear, and also made it clear that while it is impossible to definitively list all the possible banned exploits, I expect each player to exercise their own judgement in good faith.
Please use your common sense to ask yourself, when considering an in-game action, 'would this be considered an exploit by an objective observer?' before proceeding.
It would be a shame if the in-game course of events is influenced by the use of exploits. I think it has potential to ruin the game.
