ATPG, I think I have one final idea for you - see the pm I just sent you and let us know whether you are willing to give it a try and stay in the game

Ramses, can you pls sub the turn for ATPG so the game can continue? I suggest you wait a turn before following his surrender instructions, in case he wants to try my idea and stay in the game

I'll have this one subbed either later tonight or tomorrow early-ish. Shouldn't be much trouble to do it either way if I get instructions soon-ish.

Sorry for the delay everyone. I had assumed PM had pm'ed Ramses with my password.
You know what they say about people who assume, they make Jack a dull boy.

    Okay, Oman is up:

I don't know how ATPG would want to address this in the Council thread, so I'll post the info here and let him decide. Vakha was retaken by the Turks, but that town north of there was lost and occupied by the KoJ. Prince Jean and Raynald de Chatillon were killed, and Balain's army was mostly wiped out, but Balain and the new prince, whatever his name is, just would not die (And of course the 2nd army's veteran infantry would not rout, only about half of them are dead) so the battle also cost the life of the Sultan and two of his other generals, and almost all of his army. It was a fun sub, sorry it took so long.

As long as the Latin forces tasted good Turkish steel and were humilated by lesser forces, I can die a happy Sultan.

Sorry, no easy victory for Baldwin... not with the legendary Ramses at the helm!

The battle was a draw rather than a victory for either side, ~2500 dead KoJ and ~1400 dead Turks, but considering that losses acount for about 70% of the total Turkish nation's army including 3 family members and the nearby city is now ungarrisoned, though the tiny remains of the army may retreat there, it was a strategic victory for the KoJ. Don't toot my horn too hard, if the enemy hadn't been parked on a river crossing with virtually no ranged troops it wouldn't have even gone that well.
