    Default Good Day, redux

Screw my face clearing up and all that junk, today i lived the dream of all ronery internet nerds.

So, i'm on the bus, heading into town for another 12 hour gaming marathon at the internet cafe, when halfway through the trip this girl gets on the bus. She's pretty, wearing nice clothes, a flowing skirt. As all internet nerds do, i prayed she'd sit next to me. She didn't. Carried on going to the back. So, as usual i consign myself to thinking about what could have been if maybe she'd been an impulsive type and sat next to me.

Suddenly, next thing i know, the bus is stopping on the outskirts of the CBD. The driver gets out, walks across the road, and disappears into the petrol station. Suddenly, the girl jokingly asks if i can drive the bus. Next thing you know, we get talking, and i end up missing my stop talking to her. We exchanged numbers, and i now have a friend on the continent of Australia.

TAKE THAT, RONERY INTERWEB NERDS. I LIVED YOUR DREAM AND MADE FRIENDS WITH A RANDOM PRETTY GIRL ON THE BUS.

Now i'm just an internet nerd!

So, i ask the question - this ever happened to any of you?

    My wife won't let me.
There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

    Rosemarie Riojas, 1965. Detroit.

We hung out through the summer. She taught me the "1-2-Cha-cha-cha", I taught her how to get a base-hit, and we taught each other how to kiss. School resumed in September, and we lived 3 bus transfers away, so we kinda drifted apart.

*sigh* I wonder whatever happened to her?

    Good hunting, Mikey!

If you were able to "tie" her when when she approached you, why label yourself as an "internet nerd" ? Is it only because you spend much more time on computers than other "normal" people?

Get over it. You're just better.

Arr, that's cool. That thing about the bus driver, it happens all the time with me too. It takes me at least two hours to get from school to home every day. V_V

Think that girl will turn out to be like Faye? ;)

And my good day continues - she called me (yes, she called me!) to ask if i wanted to go for coffee tomorrow in town. So far so good. So far she's the one pulling all the strings - talking to me first, giving me her number, saying we should go meet somewhere. From my vast experience (and i mean vast, i've seen many couples go down like the hindenburg) it usually goes the other way round, with the guy doing all the talking and asking.

Glenn - bring it on :p

    Yes, it happened to me...

She had beautiful, big eyes and 2 huge bumps to match, golden brown hair and long legs. She literally drooled over me as well...but hey, that's what camels do.
