Thread: Hoplitai of the Sab'yn?

    Default Hoplitai of the Sab'yn?

So while playing as the Sab'yn (who are really fun to play, btw), I found that they can recruit Hoplitai Trogla-somethings in Maryab . . .the Hellenic colonists of the Red Sea region. Upon reading their description, it seems like these hoplitai were used by the Ptolemies against Saba, the Ethiopians, etc. So did the Sab'yn employ these Hellenic colonists as well (although it doesn't say so in the description), or is this a bug? Just curious.

Oh, and keep up the good work, guys. This mod blows my mind in how awesome it is.

The distribution of troglodyte hoplites is off in EB1.0 for what ever reason. I think the team said it is a known issue that was corrected.

Thanks for the reply, that makes sense . . .but why, then, are these hoplitai under the units list for the Sab'yn faction on the main website? Makes it seem like they're a legit Sab'yn unit.

I think they were meant to be recruitable on the other side of the Red Sea, amongst other things.

Yep, regionals. They're just on the wrong side of the sea by accident.

Apparently His Pastaness is to be worshipped in full pirate regalia. The decline in worldwide pirate population over the past 200 years directly corresponds with the increase in global temperature. Here is a graph to illustrate the point."

The ownership is intended (but not complete...) and the AOR is wrong.

In 1.1 these bugs/glitches regarding this unit will be fixed; among them their currently 'swapped' AOR.

They are. Would represent troops drawn from Greek colonies under Sab'yn rule.
