    Default Issue with Auto-Manage

My PC got either a nasty virus or some technical problems a few days ago, but luckily I was able to back up my M2TW save games and have since reinstalled Windows and given my PC a good clear-out in the process.

I reinstalled M2TW and Patched to 1.2, the same conditions my campaign had been played on previously. I've been playing it, and everything works, but for some reason the auto-manage feature has been turned on. This is really annoying, and I can't set the automanage features for construction and recruitment off until I send a governor into each settlement. And I can't control the tax settings at all.

Is there anyway to turn this feature off completely during a campaign? The Timurids have just arrived, I'm recovering from the Black Death, and I need all the funds and recruits I can get!

    Thanks for any help.

When on the campaign map, push 'escape' to bring up the menu. Under 'game options' there is the line "always allow building and recruiting". Make sure there is an 'x' in it's box and the auto-managment option should now be changable.

Because you have reinstalled M2TW the setting 'manage all settlements' is not on. If the above doesn't work you can start a new game and make sure that you have chosen to manage all settlements. Once you have played a few turns load your original save game and it should be as normal.
