How much does it cost? Is it cheaper to just build new ones? I know it drops the valor (I invaded Poland and had 5 and 6 valor troops, I retrained and it went down to 0) but how much does it cost?

If this has been answered elsewhere I do appologize,

    thanks

It is cheaper to repair than rebuild, I think. It only drops the valor because the new troops are not veterans but newbies. When the valor enhancements for certain building is fixed, it will be better off repairing. Also they get the benefit of morale enhancing buildings such as churches.

Still think soldiers are rated on individual basis like in STW, when we get the logfiles back in the patch we'll know for sure.

So when repairing units shouldn't it be that the new troops have the lower valor and the old ones have what they had so the overall average may be lower? - again the logfile will answer this I guess. Didn't play enough MI/WE to know how it worked in STW.

Brings up the combining units magic wand too - in STW depending on how you did it (think its landing on the unit to convert) you could make no shield guys into gold shield guys this way if you had an understrength gold shield guy and an understrength no shield.
At least the logfiles would tell you this.
“You know the sound of thunder Mrs. Garret."
    "Ofcourse"
"Can you imagine that sound if I asked you to?"
    "Yes I can Mr. Hickok."
"Your husband and me had this talk, and I told him to head home to avoid a dark result. But I didn't say it in thunder. Ma'am, listen to the thunder.”
