    It's all good and all, but I find that voters only go for those singers that have good looks rather than those bands that have a good, well written song. Also, the kids version of it is always won by the girl-bands, and mainly those under 12. Which makes you suspicious.
    I remember a Belgium (I think it was Belgium) rock band that had a very good song, but they finished almost in last place.

    Not to mention that its very political. Since all the new eastern european nations began entering it, hardly any western european songs do well. I think last year in the top 12 (out of 24) only Germany? made it (and they were 11th!). So long as England/UK don't get nul point again its all good.

    The irish entry is great!
    Really fits the contest very well.

    Two minor things I didn't like about the icelandic entry:
    1. It's too dark, I want to see more of them girls' nice hairstyles
    2. there's this annoying music

    Where would we be without the idealistic Eurocentric mince, the nauseating
    festivities; our collective cultural meltdown disguised by ear-bleedingly awful
    madness? The foreign presenters who deserve a firing squad, the petty political
    voting over appreciation of music - where else would we be without this terrible
    musical addition, to good old backstabbing, that is Eurovision? Killing each other,
    that's where!

    I heard about the Irish entry some time ago, listening to my radio in stunned
    disbelief.

    I hate how political it is too.
