    Default Migration Campaigns

Am I the only one who loves selling off my entire nation and loading the whole army on a boat to some far-flung corner of the earth on the first turn? I've done two of these so far, both as KH. First time I went to Crimea and had an empire spanning the north half of the black sea, I was at war with Macedon, Armenia and Ptolemies before I had to reinstall my game. After that I tried sending them to Massila and its been far easier. I took all the cities straddling the pyrenees and the 3 carthiginian islands *sardinia and the one above it both rake in around 2000 in trade alone* before launching my first real war *the islands where unguarded and the white beast was quick to take a ceasefire* against the Arverni who are down to a single city. What are some other good ideas for a migration, I know KH can recruit troops almost anywhere but I'm sick of playing them.

I've considered Moving the Sweboz to India with the move char cheat. Though, I also humored messing with the AOR for that too.

I've only done it out of necessity, once with the saka, moved into india. Didn't end well though...

Saka into India is...painful. Saka into Baktria is still understandable. Horse Archers vs Elephants. How do you pull that off?

I once moved my Casse Empire into Galatia, without cheating. My diplomat stumbled on a huge rebel army near Arretium and bribed it, whereafter it marched all the way to Galatia and took it. I could recruit some really good units from there, so I quite easily took all of Minor Asia.

I don't come here a lot any more. You know why? Because you suck. That's right, I'm talking to you. Your annoying attitude, bad grammar, illogical arguments, false beliefs and pathetic attempts at humour have driven me and many other nice people from this forum. You should feel ashamed. someone recently moved arverni to ireland, and waited to adopt a couple of local people into the ruling family, before sending all the "arverni-born" FMs into a battle in which they were all killed - effectively leaving the "native Irish" FMs as the sole remainders - creating an "irish" faction....v sweet idea.

KH seems an obvious choice just cos they have ships etc at the start of the game, and have the greek cities scattered around the med. some factions are just too large to relocate.

are you into historical relocation? or just anything? cos if you don't mind fantasy, why not try getting a western faction over to the east and starting out there...??

EDIT: and by historical i meant not "as it happened historically" but rather "moving a faction to another location where there was a cultural connection" i.e. e.g. Massilia, Syracuse, Crimea for KH.

Suggested Migrations (partially historical in nature)

Casse to Belgium to become a Belgae faction.

Aedui to Britain to become the Midlander Briton faction.

Arveni to Spain to become the Celt-Iberi faction.

Getai to Galatia to become the Galatian faction.

Epiros to Italy to become the Tarentine faction.

KH to Sicily to become Syracusan faction.

Macedon to Carthage (the Carthagianians were the next major power on Alexander the Great's hit list before he died!).

Basically the KH can move almost anywhere, Syracuse, Massilia, Emporion, Crimea, Sinope and Trapezous, Pergamon, Southern Italy and Kyrene. Just a lot of places.
The Sab´yn can move to either Ethiopia or India, all Celtic factions to Galatia or Singidunum (I think that´s the celtic region in that area).
Of course if you don´t mind unhistorical migration you can go completely nuts, like the Ptolies to the Balts, the Casse to India, the Sab´yn to Ireland and all sorts of wierd things.

    Better yet:

Getai to Crimea to become the Bosphoran faction.

Lusotanna to Ireland to become the Goidilic faction.

Sauromatae to Belarus-Baltic area to become the Slavic faction.

Sweboz to Finland to become the Saami faction.

Romans to Helvetia to become the Helvetic faction.

Kart-Hadast to Sidon. Another Phoenician colony would be cool!

I was toying around in the recruitment viewer and found an interesting possibility. If the Casse where to conquer Lugouw and Mrogbonna *east of sweboz, north of Getai, west of Sarmatia* they would have access to Lugian swodrsmen, oksywie swordsmen, casse champions, briton shortswordsman, southern gallic swordsman, gallic light cavalry *I know from the massila campaign how good these are*, brihentin, and celtic axemen. With Baltic trade under my control and a lot of rebel provinces between me and the other factions *except sweboz* I could have a rich and powerful country by the time anyone else comes into contact with me. With abit of expanding I could have scythian and greek troops to. So far it looks like I'll have an empire stretching from the black sea to the baltic sea with the most varied army in the game..

I have to say that this is one of the more intriguing threads that I've come across in a while. There is so much possibility with this game that it boggles the mind.

There just ain't enough hours in the day!!!!
