What I don't understand is why you have two differant types of dogs.
Warhounds are heavy handlers.
Wardogs are light handlers but have hardy handlers.
What is the point?
(p.s Which do you like more?)

dogs are the roman dogs and hounds are the barbarian ones and i never play them but i think i like hounds better because they've more dogs
We do not sow.
I think the only reason for having to different types of dogs, is to make the civilized dog units look different from the barbarian dog units.
I haven`t tried warhounds yet, and I seldom use either wardogs, nor pigs(they never hit their targets!).
Runes for good luck:
[1 - exp(i*2π)]^-1
never ever noticed!
but they are soo useful, they eat up archers, light infantry etc!
plus if you are defending a bridge when the enemy start to cross, and let them loose!
than they'll run straight into the water and drown
We do not sow.
lol, dogs can swin though
heard of the doggy paddle?
when i did it 2 units of em got 458 kills combined!
Beefy, that slideshow in your sig is hilarious.
Rome Total War, it's not a game, it's a do-it-yourself project.
Hilarious but way to big. Please amend your sig to the rules. More than 10kb are not allowed.
awwww, its only 490kb!
ok ok, i totally forgot to check the size of it! i shall remove it! think im gonna cry
I love wardogs and warhounds, they're great for chasing down routing enemies..
but warhounds are much btter wardogs are a lot weaker warhounds are good to charge first then charge men in the dogs are there to disturb the enemy and to help the men

how stupid george bush is !
Barbarian doggies get 14 attack instead of 12.
Also, Germania and Scythia have extra sized doggies. 60 base size instead of 48.
Both have 3 exp temples. Supersized 3 xp doggies are quite mean.
Ceterum censeo both kinds of these beasts delendae sunt.

Wardogs or warhounds, whatever, they're too powerful.
(And now that I proved I'm on topic): Beefy your sig is really ROFL hahaha thank you m8 hope they don't make you remove it.
"Whose motorcycle is this?", "It's a chopper, baby.", "Whose chopper is this?", "Zed's.", "Who's Zed?", "Zed's dead baby. Zed's dead." - Butch and Fabienne ride off into the sunset in Pulp Fiction.
Hardy means they're supposed to be tough guys, which means you, the commander, get a nasty surprise when they decide to rout before you've even unleashed the dogs. Heavy handlers means you are supposed to think they fight well, but then get a nasty surprise when they get slaughtered as soon as they even get close to an enemy.Originally Posted by Arrowhead

I don't know much about the difference, but what I can safely say is the fact that wardogs or warhounds are VERY useful. Whenever I enter a city after bashing its gates/walls open, I send in skirmishers and wardogs to take care of the soldiers inside.
Of course, I'm an utterly incompitent commander, too, since most of the casualities of my battles are self-inflicted when my chariots/cavalry charge through my own ransks of infantry and accidently kill some of my troops!

More dogs maybe?Originally Posted by Arrowhead
After those doggies attack you can't control them so maybe the point is in choosing different targets?

It is forbidden to kill; therefore all murderers are punished unless they kill in large numbers and to the sound of trumpets.
