No STW MP Server? Consider Samurai Warlords!

I've noticed an unusually large number of lurkers viewing the Sword Dojo recently. If any of you are curious about TW multiplayer combat, samurai style, and rue that there is no server for Shogun anymore, I strongly encourage you to try the Samurai Warlords mod for Medieval Total War, Viking Invasion. It provides the closest thing to STW multiplayer that you can play online now, and it's quite fun! And, the handful of players who play it are friendly, very knowledgeable about TW games, and would enjoy your courteous company.

The challenge is, you do need MTW and the VI upgrade. Of course, you will also need to download and install the BETA8 mod, a link to which can be found in Puzz3D's signature. The mod must be installed over a clean installation of VI, version 2.01. The 2.01 patch is available from a number of places. Ask if you are having trouble finding it.

The AI can be fun, but if you find yourself growing tired of it, and are looking for a bigger challenge, consider joining us. Personally, I love playing MP games with cool peeps. And the SamWars group is just that.
