These are the annals of Hosokawa Clan.

Bunshō 2nd Year, 1st month
January 15th, 1467

Hosokawa mansion Kyoto,

After New Year´s congatulations for the year 1467 had been given. The leader of Hosokawa, Hosokawa Katsumoto had summoned all his vassals to the main wing of Hosokawa Mansion at Kyoto. The threat of War over the succession of the Ashikaga Shogunate was looming at the air and the Leader of Hosokawa had already become certain that war between his Clan and their allies against coalition lead by the venerable leader of Yamana, Yamana Sōzen was going to start sooner rather then later.

Air in the room felt thick as the leaders of Hosokawa waited for their Master,Katsumoto to arrive. Not after long sliding doors were opened, while all men in the room bowed their heads towards the floor. Katsumoto walked to the seat of honour infront of the others.Sat down and gave a order for everyone to raise their heads. After moment of silence he said: "Motonobu."

Hosokawa Motonobu,Master of Ceremonies of Hosokawa Clan bowed to his master, opened a scroll held in his hand and started reading with strong clear voice:

"Present are:"

"Hosokawa Katsumoto, Leader of Hosokawa, Kanrei of Ashikaga Bakufu, Daimyo of Settsu and Tosa."

Motonobu closed the scroll bowing again. Katsumoto said:

"Lords! Thank you all for coming!"

He then turns towards right and says: "Yoritada!"

Hosokawa Yoritada,Master of Gurad of the Clan bows towards Katsumoto, stands up giving a signal to the guards at the door.Doors slide open and two servants carry in few large maps showing parts of Japan to the center of the room. Katsumoto stands up walks to the maps and sits down next to them.He also signals others to come closer. After everyone is close enough to see the details of the maps, Yoritada clears his throat and starts speaking:

"This is the current situation. I will start from the West and end to the East and the North. Here is Kyushu:"

"Most of the Kyushu Clans are neutral. Shimazu at the South rules provinces of Satsuma, Osumi and Hyaga. Kikuchi, rules the Higo Province. Otomo Clan´s domain consist´s of Bungo and Chikugo Provinces. Shoni Clan the Hizen Province. Clan So rules over Tsushima Island and Clan Uku´s domain is Goto Island. All these Clans are assumed to be neutral incase war will break out between us and Yamana.
While almost everyone at Kyushu are neutral.One is not.There we can see our first among many enemies.

Clan Ouchi, ruled by Ouchi Masahiro.They hold two provinces at Kyushu namely Buzen and Chikuzen.Their two other of the total four are at the Westernmost tip of our main Island. Suo and Nagato. If the war will break out.We cant be sure where we have to confront their armies.They do not have land border with us, nor any of our allies. We have to watch carefully their moves as it could be that Masahiro will wait untill we are exhausted before committing his forces against us or our allies...."

Daimyo of Awa and Awaji, Hosokawa Masakuni, interrupts Yoritada and shouts out:

"I hear that Masahiro is a gifted painter! I wonder if he can wield his sword as well as paint brush!"

General laughter breaks out and only once the laughter dies out, Yoritada places another map on top of the one with Kyushu Clans.

"Here are the Clans of Chugoku region. As you can all see here is also our main enemy.Yamana Clan. Leader of Yamana, Sozen is leading a huge coalition of Clans, but as you can see.They are not lacking in their direct lands either. They hold provinces of Iwami,Bingo,Hoki,Mimasaka, Inaba, Tajima and most of Bizen.

Another enemy next of Ouchi is Takeda. Their Western Lands consist of Aki Province.Problem with them is similar as with Ouchi. As they are safely behind Yamana, they could either support Yamana at Chugoku or attack us at Shikoku. In the center of the Region surrounded by enemies, we have our own Bitchu province. But this is not all.We have friends in the area also. The Westernmost lands of Kyogoku Clan are Izumo province and Oki island. Another Ally is Akamatsu Clan lead by young Masanori.They hold Harima Province and one Kori of Bizen, called Oku.

At the further East of the area is Tango province.It belongs to the Isshiki Clan, who are currently neutral.They hold more land in Kinki region and they might turn out to be a great help or dangerous foe, if they join the fray. "

After Yoritada ends his briefing concerning Chugoku area. The Daimyo of Bitchu, Hosokawa Katsuhisa speaks:

"Lords! Nevermind the Yamana, Ouchi and Takeda! I will push them all to the Sea!"

The surrounding Daimyos smile at the impetous words of Katsuhisa, but no laughter can be heard in the room as some of the men silently exchange significant glances. Yoritada spreads next map on the floor.

"Here is Shikoku. Our homeland. We hold the provinces of Tosa.Awa,Sanuki and Awaji Island here.This is our support area against all our enemies.Nevertheless we have an enemy right in midst of our lands. Kono Norimichi holds Iyo province and is openly in league with Yamana.Like mentioned before.Takeda has an easy access to Iyo and it could be that instead of fighting Kono.We will have to fight both Kono and Takeda in order to secure Shikoku."

Daiymo of Sanuki, Hosokawa Shigeharu speaks:

"It should be of uttermost importance to defeat Kono and secure our home Island. This should be a great priority."

Several Lords nod in acceptance to the words of Shigeharu. Yoritada spreads the next map to the floor.

"Kinki region,Central Japan. We hold here Settsu, Izumi and Tanba Provinces. Our enemies are many, but so are our allies. Tanba borders to the West the lands of Yamana. Yamana also holds Iga province and Northernmost Kori of Yamashiro province, Otagi. The current Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimasa who has foolishly decided to support Yamana replacing his son as heir to the Shogunate over his brother Ashikaga Yoshimi whom we support. The renegade Shogun holds most of the Yamashiro province, except Otokuni Kori, which we rule. Kizu Kori ruled by Hatakeyama branch hostile to us and Sagara Kori ruled by Imizi Hatakeyama who are our allies and at vivil war with the other Hatakeyama branch.
There we come to one of our most dangerous enemies. Apart the Kori in Yamashiro mentioned before.Hatakeyama Yoshinari rules Kawatchi and Kii provinces.He also has additional lands in the East.He is certainly one of our fearsome foes.
Another foe at the region we have is Rokkaku.They hold the Southern side of Omi.

Now to our allies. At Wakasa is Onyo Takeda, branch broken off from the Takeda allied with us. Northern Omi is also owned by Kyogoku Mochikiyo, whose Western Lands came up already at Chugoku region.Third ally is Soemonji Ashikaga at Northern Yamato. They are led by the rightful heir of Shogunate. Ashikaga Yoshimi, whose bid for becoming heir of Shogunate our entire alliance is supporting.

Apart these Clans.There is a handful of neutral Clans in the Kinki. Isshiki, mentioned earlier has Ise and Shima provinces. Tsutsui holds two kori in the central Yamato South from Soemonji Ashikaga. East from Tsutsui, Furuichi holds a single kori, while South of Tsutsui, Toichi Clan holds their single Kori domain. Two of the Southernmost kori of Yamato are held by Ochi Clan."

"Next is Chubu region."

"We have four enemies in Chubu area. Fisrt is Shiba. They hold provinces: Owari, Totomi and three Kori from Echizen. Shiba is also at civil war like Hatakeyama and Takeda. The Niu Shiba branch who are allied to us hold most of Echizen.

Our second enemy in this region is Toki Clan. They hold Mino province.

Third one is Hatakeyama who own Noto province at North of the region. The Imizu Hatakeyama have Etchu as their base and from there can surely contest the other Hatakeyama branch.

Last of our enemies at the region is Takeda and their homeland of Kai. Here again they are behind neutral Ogasawara who own Shinano and other neutral Imagawa who hold Suruga.

Our allies consists of the forementioned Niu Shiba and Imizu Hatakeyama. Apart them Togashi has solid position at Kaga, while the Easternmost areas of Kyogoku include the Hida province.

The whole Eastern part of this region is held by the mighty Uesugi, who are neutral towards both us and Yamana. Uesugi possessions include. Echigo, Kozuke, Musashi, Sagami and Izu provinces.

We have Mikawa province in the region and i must say this is where we are weakest compared to any other region. Our hope is that our castles hold, while our enemies concentrate to their other foes."

Daimyo of Mikawa, Hosokawa Shigeyuki simply smiles towards the comment.Without commenting anything concerning the observation.

Yoritada continues.

"I have two more maps here, which i will skim through without many detail as not either Kanto or Tohoku have any clans directly involved with our more then possible conflict with Yamana.Here is Kanto:"

"Kanto actually has the only current war being waged. Koga Kubo Ashikaga family is fighting their own Kanto Kanrei, Uesugi Clan. Apparently Koga Ashikaga has woken up to the fact that their vassal has become bit too powerful. Looking at the map, the observation seems quite solid. Koga Ashikaga only hold Shimosa province. In my opinion the Koga Ashikaga does not stand much of chance in their fight against Uesugi. Their only hope is the fractured nature of the Uesugi, who have very strong vassals, with maybe ambitions for independency from Uesugi.

The neutral Clans of Kanto are Utsunomiya holding most of Shimotsuke apart one Eastern Kori held by Nasu Clan and one southern Kori held by Oyama Clan. Most of Hitachi is ruled by Satake Clan, apart one Kori held by Koga Ashikaga. At Boso Peninsula, Bosho province and one Kori of Kazusa is held by Satomi Clan. Mariyama holds four other Kori of Kazusa and Sakai holds a single most Northern one Kori of the same province."

"For the sake of convenience.The two huge provinces of Tohoku, Dewa and specially Mutsu have been splitted into smaller ones. This area houses large number of minor Clans.

Southern part of Mutsu, called Iwashiro is mainly held by Ashina Clan.Three other Clans hold a single Kori from the Iwashiro. Namely Nikaido,Nihonmatsu and Date.

South Eastern part of Mutsu, called Iwaki has Shirakawa Clan holding two Kori in the South. Soma Clan holding two Kori at the middle and Date Clan holding a two Kori at the North.

Next We have the central Mutsu Region, Rikuzen. Osaki Clan holds five kori in the area while Kasai Clan holds two.

To the North of Rikuzen is Rikuchu of Northern central Mutsu. Here Osaki clan holds one kori, Kasai Clan two Kori, Tozawa Clan a single Kori and the Nanbu Clan the most Northern Kori.

The most Northern area of Mutsu province is the Mutsu proper area. Nanbu Clan dominates this area, apart Namioka Clan holding a single Kori in Western part.

Northern Dewa province is called Ogo. Ando Clan holds two of the Northern Kori. Onodera two central ones and Nikaho a single Southern Kori.

Southern Dewa, by another name Uzen, is dominated by Mogami Clan that holds three Kori, while the Northern Kori is owned by Daihoji Clan and the most Southern by Date.

All these Northern Clans are neutral towards us and the coalition of Yamana."

Yoritada signals the servants and the maps are taken away. All men return to their original places, while their Leader Katsumoto stands up addressing the crowd.

" Men!Lords of Hosokawa! Make no mistake about it. War is coming! War like no war before! We stand together with our allies, protecting the rightfull heir of Shogunate, Ashikaga Yoshimi. Together with: Kyogoku, Akamatsu, Imizu Hatakeyama, Onyo Takeda, Niu Shiba and Togashi. We stand against our wretched foes: Renegade Shogun Yoshimasa,Yamana, Ouchi, Takeda, Kono,Hatakeyama, Rokkaku,Shiba and Toki. Be ready! When the order comes. We fight!"

Quite too many hours to be honest,not much playing at all, more like massive Gimp job and checking things up. This evening i get to actually play the game and the updating of the actual game events should be lot less of an effort compared to the massive pre briefing of the situation.

Bunshō 2nd Year, 3rd month
March 28th, 1467

At the night of March second. forces of Yamana Sozen and Hatakeyama Yoshinari had tried to kill Izumi Hatakeyama Masanaga at this mansion of Kyoto. Apparently acting on orders of Shogun Yoshimasa. Fortunately Masanaga had escaped his foes successfully and fled Kyoto, heading towards his lands at Southern Yamashiro.
Hosokawa Mansion had turned into military camp over night, while attendants and servants were trying to pack everything they could anticipating hurried departye from Kyoto.
Hosokawa key vassals.The same men who had gathered at the start of the ýear had again gathered at the main hall of the mansion. Intense discussion was held about the recent events and possibly best course of action to take in the current situation. Discussion came to a sudden halt as Hosokawa Katsumoto entered the main hall in full armour.
Once The Lord of Hosokawa had seated himself in front of the others. His Master of Arms Hosokawa Ujioki stood up, opened a scroll before him and started reading with clear and loud voice:

"Military orders for the up and coming War!

Commander in Chief of all military forces of Clan Hosokawa, Commander of the main Hosokawa Army, Hosokawa Katsumoto.

Commander of the Army of Shikoku, Hosokawa Shigeharu.

Commander of the Army of Chugoku, Hosokawa Katsuhisa.

Commander of the 1st Central Army, Hosokawa Katsumasu.

Commander of the 2nd Central Army, Hosokawa Mochihisa.

Commander of the 3rd Central Army, Hosokawa Masakuni.

Commander of the Army of Mikawa, Hosokawa Shigeyuki.

Strategy Overseer, Hosokawa Ujioki."

While Ujioki kept reading each Daimyo accepted their position when their name was called out. Next Ujioki spread some maps on the floor in order to pass detailed plans for the upcoming war.

Once the master of Arms had finished. Hosokawa Katsumoto addressed the Lords, present.

"The War is upon us. Our Armies of 34 500 men are ready. Fight hard and bravely, but conserve your forces and do not seek open battles in vain. When and if we defeat our first enemies.More can be found behind them, so preserve the lives of your men as i dont think this will be a short affair. Now return to your fiefs and wait for the order to act. Gods and Buddha with you all!"

May 26th, 1467

- Take from the journal of Hosokawa Katsumoto.

The War has started.In anticipation for war EmperorGo-Tsuchimikado has proclaimed a new era.The name is telling: Ōnin. Tomorrow morning my armies and armies of our allies will move out. I have mixed feelings concerning this war. On the other hand.It cannot be avoided.We have to fight or face death and humiliation.This is not acceptable for a bushi under any circumstances. The Clan has money to sustain this war for maybe 4 years.

I am worried about how much i can trust my relatives. Specially my cousins Katsuhisa and Shigeyuki´s loyalty bothers me.If Shigeyuki will decide to join our enemies with his lands in Mikawa.Right now there is nothing i can do to punish him. Katsuhisa on the other hand might be pondering whether it is better to join Yamana and their allies, rather then fight the odds at Chugoku.The rest i think i can trust more.Nevertheless only people i can really trust are my direct Kokujin and my closest advisors.

I have made few marriage proposals. I asked for the hand of Chosokabe Fumikane´s daughter Masa.Fumikane seems like a valuable retainer and it could be that sooner rather then later. I will grant him the title, Daimyo of Tosa.
Second proposal i made to Shimazu Suehisa´s daughter, Shizuka. If Shimazu would join us at Kyushu.It would make our efforts in the West lot more easier.
Third proposal i made to a far away Clan Namioka. I have heard rumours praising the looks and wits of Namioka Akiyoshi´s daughter and i could not help myself but to ask the hand of princess Sae.

July 1st, 1467

Situation at Chugoku:

Our Army of Chugoku is still gathering at their assembly area at Kaya Kori of Bitchu province.Friendly troops of Kyogoku Clan seem to be moving towards Ishi and Ohara Kori of Izumo province. Our another ally at the region, Akamatsu seems to be moving their armies towards Oku Kori of Bizen province.
The enemy is on the move as well. Yamana armies are gathering at Katsuta Kori of Mimasaka Province and Takeda armies are marching East towards Jinseki and Mitsugi Kori of Bingo province. They might be heading towards our Bitchu Province.

Situation at Shikoku:

At Shikoku.The enemy forces of Uma are retreating towards Kuwamura. Another Kono army of 1500 men is marching from Iyo towards Ukena. It seems that Kono has raised only half of his men. It could be that he is hoping to lure us for long sieges against well protected castles in order to buy time for his allies to march into his support.

Our 1st Central Army has almost gathered at Nose,Settsu. The main army is besieging enemy castle at Manda,Kawatchi. 2nd central army is waiting for the Awaji troops at Hine,Izumi. 3rd central army is still long over due from gathering at Misaki.Not a single unit have arrived yet to their assembly area.

The Ashikaga Brothers have engaged themselves in battle against each other at Tsuzuki, Yamashiro. The forces of Shogun seem to have superior numbers. A small Hatakeyama army has laid siege on our castle at Izumi Kori of Izumi province. Larger Hatakeyama army is assembling at Naga,Kii.
Yamana forces of Mikumi and Asako of Tajima Province are marching away from us,towards Shitsumi,Tajima. Small Yamana Army have surrounded Izumi Hatakeyama´s castle at Sagara,Yamashiro. While a small army of Izumi Hatakeyama has in turn surrounded Rokkaku Clan´s castle at Koga,Omi.There are 3000 Rokkaku warriors assembling at Gamo and Kanzaki,Omi.So the siege of Koga might turn out to be a short one.

4500 enemy Shiba warriors are heading towards Ahachi kori,Mino Province.Hopefully towards North or West. Still even a larger number remains in their castles surrounding our Mikawa Province. Similar number of Toki forces are assembling at Kagami.

-The renegade Shogun has attacked his brother at Yamashiro and made Shiba Yoshikado a new Kanrei. I am going to ignore Shiba as Kanrei as i am the only true Kanrei of Ashikaga and Ashikaga Yoshimasa is no more a Shogun to me, but a mere rebel. Hosokawa Mochiisa is complaing that it is taking forever for the Awaji Samurai of Masakuni to arrive and he asked permission to move out without them.He is complaining that already Hatakeyama armies have tried trapping his own forces separately before they could assemble at Minami and that he had to move to Hime to assembly there as larger Hatakeyama forces are threatening him. What a rash youth he is. At the same time he is complaining that some of his forces are late, while he wants to attack.While he is afraid of the Hatakeyama armies around him. In any case my army is at Kawatchi and i am going to assault the enemy castle at dawn tomorrow.We must give the first blow to the enemy.Our honour demands so.

Soemonji Ahikaga Yoshimi has suffered a devastating defeat at Tsuzuki,Yamashiro. He lost nearly 1500 men from his 2500, while the victorious Ashikaga Yoshimasa lost less then hundred from his 3500 men.

Our Army of Chugoku is now marching towards Kojima,Bizen. Daimyo of Bitchu.Hosokawa Katsuhisa has raised 250 strong personal retinue.Who are marching at the same direction from Aga,Bitchu. Apparently a similar sized Yamana army is trying to interfere the retinue´s advance by marching from Awasaka,Bizen towards Aga,Bitchu.
1000 strong Takeda Army is marching from Mitsuki,Bingo towards our Kato Kori, Bitchu.Small Yamana army have laid siege to the castle at Kyogoku´s Iishi kori, Izumo province. Two small armies of Kyogoku and Yamana have engaged each other at Aimi, Hoki.Yamana troops originating from Mikumi Shitsumi and Asago kori of Tajima Province have now joined and are marching towards Hoimi,Inaba. 3000 strong Yamana army is marching from Katsuta kori Mimasaka.Towards Oku,Bizen. Meanwhile our allied Akamatsu army of 2500 is marching from Oku,Bizen, towards Joto Bizen.

Our Army of Shikoku should enter Uma,Iyo sometime during next month. Enemy has withdrawn from the kori and are now moving forward from Kuwamura Iyo, towards Ukena,Iyo. Another enemy army of 1000 men is marching towards Tosa. The kokujin army of Chosokabe Fumikane is defending the castle with almost same numbers the enemy has, so there is little to fear from the siege, unless the enemy is massively reinforced.
250 strong personal retinue of Daimyo of Sanuki,Hosokawa Shigeharu.Is marching towards Kojima in order to help our army of Chugoku during the future siege. Another retinue of similar size, belonging to Hosokawa Masakuni.Seem to be heading towards Kinki, like rest of his armies.

Most changes in the situation at Kinki has been brought up already during last month, but there are certain develpments worth mentioning. The 750 strong Hatakeyama army has abandoned the siege of Izumi,Izumi.Only to join with more Hatakeyama forces at Naga,Kii.Whom are now all marching again towards Izumi kori. 3rd Central army has started assembling at Misaki Izumi. Numerous small retainer armies of Hosokawa Daimyos are marching towards differen directions, so ffar without any strategic importance. The Rokkaku Army that defeated Izumi Hatakeyama last month at Koga is now marching North back towards Gamo.The Rokkaku seem to be on the defensive.

Armies of Clan Toki have marched North.Propably to engage Kyogoku at Hida Province. The large Shiba Army has turned back towards their own Owari Province. A small Shiba Army is marching towards our own small retinue at Aomi,Mikawa.

- First strike has been given to the enemy.Manda is ours. I have decided to keep Manda and nevermind the refusal of marriage.I have given Tosa kori and Daimyo title of Tosa Province to Chosokabe Fumikane. I have also sent more marriage proposals, which i will not go into detail, before those affairs are concluded.
Just as i had reached Kawatchi.The wretched renegade Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimasa appeared at Manda. Clever move from Yoshimasa, cutting me off from my supply lines. As i could only leave a skeleton garrison behind me.I am afraid Ashikaga will take my castle any moment now. I have sent orders to 1st central army to drive the Ashikaga wretches out from Manda as soon as they can.I am myself going to next take Kawatchi from the Hatakeyama.

Nishina Mochimori,vassal of Ogasawara Kiyomune has accepted the marriage offer of Hosokawa Katsumoto.

Ashikaga Yoshimasa have taken Manda,Kawatchi from Hosokawa Katsumoto.

Assault against Hatakeyama Clan´s castle at Kawatchi,Kawatchi failed. Only 62 defenders remain,but the enemy still controls the castle. Reinforcements from Soemonji Ashikaga have arrived. Total strength of besieging force is 4540 men.

Army of Shikoku arrived at Uma,Iyo.Castle lightly garrisoned with only 250 men.Assault ordered.

Our Army of Chugoku besieging Yamana Clan´s castle at Kojima Bizen. Hosokawa Katsuhisa reports that the castle has large garrison of 1000 men and it will have to be starved out as assault would probably fail.
1500 strong allied Kyogoku army has driven 750 strong Yamana army away from Ishi,Izumo and are now folowing the enemy to Kando,Izumo.It seems by manouvering with a smaller force,Yamana is distracting Kyogoku while attacking in other directions.
Two small Yamana armies are marching towards our Tetta kori at Bitchu. For some strange reason Takeda armies advancing towards our Kato kori,have marched away to somewhere else.
Akamatsu is now besieging Yamana´s Awasaka kori at Bizen,while our small retinue army have joined them in support.

3000 strong Yamana army is besieging Oku, Bizen.Large Yamana forces are assembling at Yakami,Inaba.

Army of Shikoku is marching towards Kuwamura,Iyo.Where a 750 strong Kono army seems to be willing to fight our much larger host.

1000 strong Kono army at Ukena, Iyo have abandoned their march towards Tosa,Tosa. Two 750 strong Kono armies are now moving towards our Hata kori,Tosa Province.

Most developments at Kinki area have come up already during the last months reports. Couple things to add.

2nd central army has abandoned the Siege of Nagasa,Kii and is marching towards Naga,Kii.
1500 strong Kyogoku army is passing through Onyo Takeda´s lands.Apparently heading towards the Eastern areas of Yamana Clan.

At the turn of the month a large Shiba army of 4738 men laid siege to our Aomi Kori at Mikawa province.We have a full garrison in the castle and we can expect for them to hold for a long time.

- Manda, Kawatchi is changing hands like no tomorrow. Inside two months three Clans have already held the Kori. I am happy about the martial proves of our 1st central Army and their leader Hosokawa Katsumasa.I doubt the renegade Shogun will take us lightly for a second time. Hopefully his army will be crushed by our men soon enough.

The rash yong one, Hosokawa Mochihisa has again shown his lack of experience. Abandoning siege at Nagasa,Kii at the first news that the 3rd central army is assembling at the neighbouring Misaki kori of Izumi. Hosokawa Masakuni,leader of the 3rd central army though reports that he is still quite far from readiness to move out. Let us hope the youthfull hastiness of Mochihisa will not cost us too much.
Last month i decided to give the newly taken kori of Uma,Iyo to Itami Masayori. Antother loyal kokujin of Settsu. I need more men who are strictly loyal to me rather then possibly ambitious about the Clan leadership like few of my relatives.For this i will continue of my policy to give new lands to my direct vassal kokujin, rather then our other Daimyo´s.
Good news were brought to me also as vassals of both Ogasawara of Shinano and Shoni of Hizen had accepted my marriage proposals to their daughters. I am certain that Matsuura Akako and Nishina Koto will make for good wives giving me many children so my son Masamoto can have siblings supporting him unlike i, who do not have a single brother. All in all affairs are advancing well.We have acquired two new Kori and soon Kawatchi,Kawatchi will be ours as i will crush the few remaining defenders in one sweep.

Situation at Chugoku remains much the same as last month.Some things are worth noticing. Our allies,the Kyogoku have successfully driven Yamana armies from their lands and are now advancing from Kando,Izumo, towards Ano Iwami. From Eastern Izumo, Shimane kori.Kyogoku armies are advancing twards both Hino and Aimi kori of Hoki province.
A small Takeda army of 250 men has besieged our Kato kori Bitchu, but because of the low number of enemies.There is hardly no danger from it.

At Kinki. Renegade Shogun, Ashikaga Yoshimasa has already run away with his army abandoning his own domain and is currently at the Rokkaku domain.Maybe he seeks to join hands with Rokkaku to fight our might.
Rokkaku army of over 3500 men is marching from their Shiga kori Omi Province, towards Kyogoku´s Takashima,Omi.
Kyogoku army previosly passing through Onyo Takeda´s domain has almost crossed the domain of Isshiki at Tango province and is heading towards Mikumi, Tajima, owned by Yamana.
1250 strong Yamana army is besieging Izumi Hatakeyama´s Sagara kori Yamashiro.

Enemy continues to besiege our Aomi kori. A small battle between our and Shiba´s retinues have started at Kamo, Northern Mikawa. Worrying is that more enemy forces are on the march from their Eastern Totomi province towards ourt lands in Mikawa.

- Young Lord of Izumi surprised me.With a lightning assault he took Naga,Kii from the enemy. 1st central army is reporting that they are ready to start an assault against the Ashikaga´s castle at Tsuzuki,Yamashiro. My own army is too exhausted from the constant sieges and marches to assault Hatakeyama´s Asukabe, Kawatchi, so i am letting them have a brief rest.
For the new lands acquired last month.I have given Kawatchi,Kawatchi to Ikeda Mitsumasa and Naga,Kii to Nose Motoyori. Both my loyal kokujin from Settsu.
