Quite ... uhm ... different from the rest of the competitors.
I would be happy if you could describe a bit more about how you felt about the Turkish group. What are the negative sides, what did you like about them, and what were you expecting on the other hand etc..?
Actually my wife and I quite liked them (seriously) - they were not quite what we expected, at least they did not fit the cliché that one might have in mind (other than last year's winner).

But usually when watching the Eurovision contest we tend to prefer the performers that have a certain unique style (and not unique in the sense of silly).
Usually more then half of the songs do not have anything special and are just boring to listen to (you hear them and forget them).

So the ones we liked were Serbia-Montenegro, Cyprus (nice voice), Turkey and (not just for patriotic reasons - usually our singers suck) Germany
Well the purpose of the Turkish group is very simple: to change Turkish image in Europe. They are unexpected, but I think they look like young fascists with short hair and loads of tatoo and angry attitude

I actually look for a good song (which is rare) and some energetic stage performance.

By the way I seriously expect Turkey will give 12 points to Greece.
When the game ends, peon and king go into the same box.

Bloody Sweds, why did you have to give Norway 3 points...? We could have gotten our fifth 0-pointer...
