This is a noob question, but I'm having trouble getting this to work. I extracted the 3 files into my data folder, made a bat file there with the line above, but when I click on the bat it doesn't load. Am I missing something here?

Oh, I'm also using the steam version. This is what my desktop Icon looks like:

    "C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 4700

Any help would be appreciated. I really want to use this mod. Thanks guys.

I have no idea how the steam-powered variant of M2TW works. Sorry.

From what you decscribe, It looks like the SteamM2 needs to be run from a specific steam launcher. (copy protection probably?)

Can you run the "C:\..\Medieval II Total War\medieval2.exe" and get the game to work?

    You could always try:
    C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 4700 --io.file_first

I have no idea how the steam launcher thing works, you could write an e-mail to the Steam support asking how to run steam games with specific commands and parameters.

Thanks for the reply. I managed to find the unpacker, and unpacked the files. I just replaced your files with the ones in the data folder and it appears to be working.
