Greetings all-

An astoundingly brilliant idea was proposed by Quintus.J.Cicero to have a Simpsons-themed Mafia game, which I offered to host, as a ridiculously obsessive Simpsons fan myself.

Having made myself familiar with the rules for Mafia games, and needing experience to draw from, I hereby offer you a preview of things to come: The Mini Simpsons Mafia!

This will be a small mafia game, using Simpson's characters, to familiarize myself with hosting mafia games and also work out potential issues for the larger games. It will also give me a chance to test my ability to write convincingly the deaths of Simpsons' characters by the Mafioso.

Those of you interested in the large Simpsons Mafia game I am planning should join, because space is limited and it will give you something to nibble on while waiting for the large shipment of D'oh-nuts.

8-12 players max.

Warning: This is my very first time, either as a host or a player. However I am a big fan of the mafia games played in the past and I have learned the rules of the game.

With such a small group, I've given almost everyone a special ability designed to extend the game to prevent an early town or early mafia victory. I am considering revealing to everyone which character they are, but not revealing to everyone the special abilities of all the characters.

1. There is at least one scummy character, so no practical joke game here. There is an evil side and a good side.

2. There is something in place to prevent the end of the game when the scummy character dies, but the game is winnable by Town.

3. Town has a number of characters with special abilities. Nothing too extravagant; certain characters will be able to withstand a lynch or a murder attempt, for example.

4. You do not want to lynch certain characters.

5. You do not want to murder certain characters.

I do not approve of monitoring other player's private messaging activities, as this is both unsportsmanlike AND unreliable. Double whammy.

If anyone becomes inactive or drops out, I would like to substitute a player in their place. I dont want dropouts to kill a fun game. They will take on the same role the first player had.

Just to be clear, so this game isn't killed by a moderator before it's time,

I am willing to wait until hades freezes over for the game to actually start. I'm waiting my turn. But I'd like to see how many people are interested, and if I have a full house, before I begin constructing this labyrinth of clues and deception to trap little orgahs in.

The game will start whenever I am up in the queue and Andres or whomever gives the OK to begin.
