nice stuff, with some good shots (the centurion charging at 4:00 for instance)

however, RTW original music sucks.

I'd see Mozart's Lacrimosa as an after battle music; and Dvorak's symphony of the new world to set the stage... well, Dvorak's intro sounds epic enough, but it maybe gets too lyrical afterwards. And about Mozart, well you can never go wrong with Mozart - tear jacking Lacrimosa (yes, that's a pleonasm)

As a RTW player, I can help but notice the burning Carthaginian temple; did you played some siege battle to capture that shot ?

If I could award balloons, you'd be given one, that was quite some work to gather all the materials before the cut.

Thanks! Well I did my very best and searched months after the right music... and I think it fits the movie well. It is from Alexander, 300, THe Village and RTW... well I think it fits just well

Yes for the entire movie I think I played around 25 battles and used of those +-7 battles to get the shots.

The footage that was cut out due to errors showing (like shots through a soldier) or simply not good enough take around 6 additional minutes...
So yes I took a battle and burned the whole village down.

If you're concerned about Youtube's loss of quality, try Veoh then; it's a DivX streaming player.

I'm positive that YouTube does some sort of high quality feature nowadays.

This video (warning, is mildly political) is an example. Below the "Views:" section, there is an option to "Switch to high quality". I'm not sure what this is like from the perspective of the person who is uploading though, me just being one of those guys who only views without contributing.

After repeated tries, I finally managed to download it.

My Comments:

pros:
1) The graphics are clear.
2) Sound is good.
3) Makes good use of RTW to make the movie

Cons:
1) Little description of what is happening. To those who do not know about the battle, they will have no idea what is happening. It needs to describe more about the flow of the battle. e.g. How the Romans go enveloped and how the either sides form up.
2) There is never a birds eye view of the battle field. Viewers will have a better picture of what is happening. e.g. When the horses clashed, where did it happen? When the spearmen charged, where did it happen? 10miles away? The movie did not state.
3) The movie did not express well enough of the crushing defeat of the Roman Army and the glorious victory of Cathagians.
4) The movie is too short.



Score: 3/10
I will ONLY recommend to RTW players or fans of historical battles to view this movie.
