Is that when tghe tile goes all black and red? Because I've found that when it happens you don't get traits like rationing or belts tightened.
If Vanilla was a toilet, it'd be clean
If EB was a toilet, It'd be sparkling

You loot tiles by staying in the same position in enemy territory. Tiles around your army will start turning black, giving you a bit of cash, while reducing the farming income of the province.

Really? I did not know it reduced the enemy farming income. I though it was just creating devastation money penalty. Do you know approximately how much cash you get from the looting? I keep hear looting, looting, but never how much.

You have to leave the army in the same spot not moving for a turn before it goes into effect too, i think. If you don't have enough troops to assault a city, but want to cut down on their upkeep a tiny bit, you can leave them in enemy territory and let them destroy tiles. they also won't get the rationing traits like this.

it's a handy trait, but ultimately it shouldn't make or break your campaign.

Perhaps it supplys the army, reducing the traight. Although as saka i've found my generals have many vies which reduce supply issues.
