And I did find the Investigation IV in the holocron; it's called Force Persuasion, which threw me off. Determines if one is susceptible to the Dark Side (not including Mind Control). It's actually kinda useless now since we have no Dark Jedi (besides me, but my case is different) and therefore nobody will show up as susceptible. And it's not GM exclusive. All as you claimed.

It can also tell if someone is Sith, I believe.

They're still there, I'm just not playing any all-time consuming strategy games or RPGs, nor am I reading any book that I've anxiously been waiting a year or more for. Also, I like mafia games with smaller amounts of players (and thus usually less posts I have to read each day, because I have to think about school sometimes, too).

By random I meant an ability that was available to all players, given sufficient time and luck. Random as in 'like all the others.' In any case, as I understand it the various investigations aren't more powerful than one another, they just all give different information.

"Very well. Let the accused have a chance to defend himself." Anded said.


Carnus Daye: "What? I'm being thrown out into space? This is outrageous! No, I didn't do it, I swear!"

Bane Anded: "Can you point to any specific reason why you shouldn't be executed?"

Carnus Daye: "I sure can!"

Bane Anded: "......Well?"

Carnus Daye: "Because I can survive it, of course. Seems pretty self-explanatory to me."

Bane Anded just stood there, speechless. After a moment, he recovered, and replied:

Bane Anded: "Is there any specific proof you can give that you're not a Sith?"

Carnus Daye: "Maybe, but you wouldn't understand it anyway. If I am to be thrown out into space, can I do it kicking and screaming?"

Bane Anded: ".....I guess?"

Carnus Daye: "You'll never take me alive, Jedi! Unhand me, fools! I REGRET NOTHING!!! I REGRET NOTHING!!! BWAHAHAHAHAAHAH!!!"



Bane Anded turned to one of the Masters standing next to him and muttered something about the entire ship having gone completely mad.



Carnus Daye was thrown out into the hangar bay, which caused even more protestations from Daye.


Carnus Daye: "Hey! Don't mess up my hair!"


The other Jedi looked even more puzzled. Bane Anded pushed the button and Carnus Daye was blown out into space, where he spun around like a ballerina and did pantomime for about ten minutes. It was really quite impressive. Finally, Anded took pity on the lad and brought him back inside.


Carnus Daye: "I still regret nothing. Told you so!"


With that, Daye passed out and was rushed to the medical bay.


Bane Anded just shook his head and gave everyone their assignments for the night.

I'd prefer to not be sacrificed. Sure, I'll admit me saying "If you need me, I'll be playing video games" is kind of scummy, but I have fully cooperated with pever and Beefy for the past few nights. I've revealed every single ability and doodad I have to them, as well as the three night actions I think I've done (including one investigate IV. WEW, please die. THNX.)

Is the main reason for not lynching Chaotix that he attacked a Sith Apprentice Night 1?

If so, food of thought: if Sith Master is allowed to attack his own Apprentice (or vice versa), then attacking my partner is exactly what I would do. Not N1, of course, because that would be too obvious. Then again, and I know I'm entering the domain of WIFOM here, that would be exactly what a very ballsy mafioso would do.

Anyway, somehow, following the lead of a Dark Side Jedi who was keen to kill on the first night, doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

It may be a coincidence, but I don't think so. We know that Chaotix has a purple sabre - so does Bane. His name is Bane Andred - maybe a coincidence, but unlikely. Also, when Chaotix approached me to form a vig group, he claimed he was the Bane of the Sith - his victory conditions were to eliminate the Sith, but at the same time he claimed to be Dark Jedi - a perfect cover for constant vig attacks. What is more - in all 15 of the Holocron entries there is no mention of the Bane of the Sith - the role Chaotix claims for himself.
