How do you explain what Secura did?

Of course she a good player, enough to know that this "soft-claim" would get her into trouble, no matter if she's Town or Mafia, if the real Lady Gaga counter-claims her. So why did she do it? I just don't understand.

Before this game even started, and thus, before Secura had her role, she altered her title, as did Diamondeye, to include reference to Gaga.

Secura is a Gaga fan, as am I and several others here. The fact that she would RP as someone she loves is not evidence of scum, especially if she was doing so before the game began.

I wanted to be weird Al Yankovic, and I'm not, but if I started quoting weird Al, it wouldn't be scummy of me. It would be me being a fan.

I honestly, do not see how it is a tell. In order for odd behavior to be used as evidence of scum, I need to see one of the following things be true:

1) That kind of behavior has to be at least slightly more common from mafia than as town (psychological tell)
2) It needs to make sense as a strategy, even in the WIFOM sense. (tactical tell)

Neither applies here, it cannot be a tell, even if she were scum. It's not connected.

Now, I'm not saying she's innocent either. She could indeed be scum. But the case on her is absolutely meaningless, and I'll stand by those words.

Secura is a bit quirky. "Knowing better" doesn't necessarily apply. Remember her performances as SK and as Mafia where she didn't go all killer instinct on us.

She doesn't play with teeth, she plays for fun. And as her win record as mafia shows, that's good enough. You're seeing a tactic where there probably is no tactic.

My reasoning is twofold, really; I'm vanilla (despite being a cool musician :<), and thus the only impact I can have is posts and votes... quoting Gaga's lyrics was a means of fun, to fill the gap while I waited for an inevitable cannon fodder death, as per. My reasoning was, if I can scrape by and live past the early game, I could have a greater impact on the game itself.

The second reason is simple discussion; it's certainly got everyone talking and it's gone beyond my expectations by causing a few slip-ups in people's logic as they try to jump on an easy bandwagon... even if y'all follow through and lynch me, you've got stuff to go on with for later rounds.

I realise that I haven't actually voted, so I'm going to follow my earlier convictions and vote: Believer. You were particularly active in Animus, yet here you're skirting by, barely posting... what gives?

As for my activity; This game has shorter rounds, I went to bed at 08:00 AM CET and before that I only saw useless accusation of Secura, I woke up about 20 minutes ago (17:00 PM CET). There wasn't much to say about the Secura bandwagon, I trust that she can take care of herself.

Now, to vote. I've always wanted to do this. :$

Have you never played a game with Pizza and his sesquipedalian loquaciousness? He usually ranks among the top posters in nearly every game he plays, does that mean he's scum with something to hide in each and every one?

I think that this is a poor approach to take to playing mafia; would you rather than people simply vote and not contribute anything? That I allow people to accuse me and then don't defend myself? Lurking doesn't win games often, and it's not behaviour I endorse or adopt.

The end of the second day

All through the day, the passing of the much-beloved Lady GaGa had kicked the Artists into action, and the day was dominated by heavy debating and arguments flying back and forth. The focus shifted from one Artist to the next, and at sundown, it seemed as if a small plurality had finally decided to take action against Autolycus. The three accusers closed in on him, the crowd in the background not daring to stop them.

"You killed GaGa!"
Autolycus looked at them, a strange glint in his eyes.
"What are you gonna do? Cry?", he answered. The eyes of the accusers widened.
"You don't deny it? You killed GaGa?"
One of them pushed Autolycus towards the edge of the cabinet, that fateful fall which could not be survived. He found his balance just before the edge, and then he reached around his back and found a gun.
"Yeah I did. Sue me. You want me to kill you, too?"
He pointed the gun right at one of his accusers. "Let's dance a little dance, shall we? Everyone, square dance with me!"
And he started firing maniacally at the feet of his accusers; they quickly backed away.
Except one of them didn't, he just shifted to the side, outside Autolycus' line of sight. With a sudden movement, he closed in and pushed the renegade rapper over the edge.
