Sigh...you guys get all the fun. I've played in 7 maifa games so far (I think? I've lost count), and haven't been scum in any. I can only believe that probability hates me.

I get the clue! Lynch Ishmael!
TLD's name is a clue! He's planning to bring about the last days - by murdering everybody! Lynch Oh! The Last Days! (I apologise for using four exclamation marks in the one sentence - to be fair, 2 were in TLD's name)
Communist are a sort of scum. :p
For awhile i was getting scum roles left right and centre, now they have dried up for me.
Only mafia get PMs. Everyone else is just a vanilla townie.
I was about to give Zack another poke if it hadn't started.
Mafia, please get in your orders!
And please explain your clues.
NIGHT THE FIRST
It was a bloody first night. Two townspeople were killed.
When the townspeople gathered in the morning, they realized the previous sentence was indeed true, and decided to investigate.
They went to Cahoma's house first.

Then, the townspeople went to Montmorency's smelly old shack.

Makes sense. Cahoma wasn't a smart choice, however.
Drumstick? "This old man, he played..."

The broken drumstick is a reference to the Music Mafia in which he played Phil Collins, a mafioso drummer who murdered people by beating them up with drumsticks. As this is an obscure reference, it is highly likely to be a True Clue.
What about those drumstick kills in A Country for Old Men?

I think only the first kill (just for flavour, not of a player) in A Country for Old Men was a drumstick. As to the pirate ship in a bottle, it could be referring to Captain Blackadder or landlubber, but those both seem a bit too obvious. WIFOM ahoy!
A question for our host: did the mafiosi submit the clues with those phrases bolded, or did you do that yourself and the rest is just flavour?
EDIT: And I just noticed this. Yikes

The only thing I could think about is the pirate ship with Captain, but with Blackadder feels "overthought"...
The drumstick and octopus note sounds as a silly clue to me, but meh :D
Another random thought - note is made of the fact that the bottle is 'cracked '= crack (cocaine) = skooma (okay, a little flimsy)? I recall when looking through the game over at CFC that the overt clues for the mafia tended to be irrelevant, whilst the minor, easily overlooked details were the actual clues.
Vote: Skooma Addict
For skooma bottles in elder scrolls, where u can get them at the dirty shack known as Skooma Den...
This is the only I could reasonably link so far...
Forgot to add that the Skooma is illegal, so that explains the pirate inside, as for smuggling or something...
vote: hero di classico because of Seon's reasoning
vote: Skooma Addict because of Arjos'/my reasoning
I think that both clues are false. The clue of the person who killed Monty, was meant to be a frame of Cahoma, since he is now known as Pirate Cahoma over at TWC. So therefore all my three votes are gong to be random. And the third person did not show up. But normally that would mean a true clue is done.

Does Verarde from CFC play here under a different name?

Too tired to come up with the obligatory silly reasoning. Just random.

Ugh, this reminds me of vanilla games where people tried to analyze the writeups for writing style, then of course people would mask their styles, and people would point fingers based on obviously false data fed to us by the mafia.
Relying on information that comes from the imagination of a liar is unwise to me; ignoring it and voting randomly or based on who seems to be trying to use that "information" to get people lynched would seem more sensible to me.
When you can deduce that some things stated must be lies, and others must be truths, then it becomes usable data. Right now it feels like random gibberish, and that's nothing to base a case off of. Better than nothing? My position is that it is precisely nothing, on round one. On round two, you can at least choose from two likely scenarios; on round one it is meaningless.
That said, i've played 1 or 2 clue games in my mafia career; my approach could be naive but it feels more sensible to me.

Statistically, random lynches work best. I guess that's not as entertaining as Day 1 wagons.

The real problem with random lynches is that for the mafia, they aren't random; they'll 'randomly' choose some townie but usually not a mafioso. And townies have trouble rallying around a single correct random vote versus several incorrect random votes. No reasoning, usually no wagoning.
A random bandwagon, if it were truly random, would be unstoppable and devastating to the mafia if it hits them. Otherwise it just wastes time, a life, and gives cover to the scums.
Better might be to pick a few "random" votes and see who is actually willing to follow through with killing their supposed targets. If the mafia are willing to lynch their partner, great. Less scums to have to deal with. If the mafia aren't willing, we get to see who flinches.
Pressure is the best method of scum-catching I've seen, threaten them with death at all times and you can either make them stress out over their chances of survival, or you might provoke them into sparing their partner, or you might cause a correct death by mistake. In that case, random is good because you might catch a scum who is doing a good job looking normal. Random is bad if it has no teeth or it has too many competing randoms.
