The Spanish lieutenants can:

kill working in pairs
offer a Letter of Marque by themself
able to "hide flawlessly in protection groups," whatever that means (just that they can participate in group actions?)

The Spanish officer can:

do everything the lieutenants can
scan two peeps per night to determine susceptibility

Spanish converts can:

same as lieutenants

Note: The Spanish automatically lose if all three originals are killed.

With that in mind, the following seems pretty clear:

The original Spanish lieutenants were working in protection groups and/or stealing the first two nights, since there were no mafia kills either of those nights and they are able to "hide flawlessly in protection groups"
The Spanish officer has been acting on his own every night. This eliminates a lot of people.
The lieutenants were recruiting last night.
The converts can be anyone except myself and my officers, even people like TinCow and Diana who were publicly stealing gold.
Eliminating the three original Spanish is our focus. Killing off converts is nice, but ultimately a distraction.

Because the officer can do the same as his lieutenants, the following is not necessarily true:

The lieutenants were recruiting last night.

Because the officer could have done it and one lieutenant could have been doing something else. Would be nicer, cleaner to fit everything together so neatly but that possibility is not eliminated.

I think it's a lot more likely that the officer was scanning people to determine susceptibility, rather than wasting time doing actions his underlings can perform.

Captain Zackbeard clears his throat, calling for silence. The sailors, normally as rowdy and unruly as you'd expect pirates to be, all quiet themselves to listen to the Captain.

Sailors,

This is Captain Zackbeard speaking.

As you can see, the previous update all but guarantees I am town. I could not have been scanning for recruits or converting people, because I was publicly revealed to be guarding my stash of moola. Furthermore, I cannot be converted while Captain, so I am not a convert either. Therefore, I am 100% certifiably town. I'm a Captain you can trust, as well as an unkillable Captain.

The above also applies to my officers - the First Mate, NinjaCow, and the Quartermaster, BSmith. Both have dutifully followed orders, and in BSmith's case especially the targets of his blocks have admitted it before it was mentioned by any officer or myself. Officers cannot be converted. Therefore, BSmith is 100% certifiably town. NinjaCow64 is still almost certainly town, but I won't put it at 100% because I don't know what he was doing Nights 1 and 2.

You can trust Captain Zackbeard and his officers with your utmost loyalty. We're pirates, through and through, and there's a mountain of evidence to prove it.

Therefore, I am asking the following of you, loyal sailors and pirates:

Contact me, Zaccino, in private detailing all previous night actions you have taken, as well as all night actions inflicted on you over the course of the game.

If you were protecting Bob with Jim and Susie last night, I need to know. If you stole from Carlos last night, and Carlos confirms someone stole from him last night, I need to know. THIS HELPS NARROW DOWN THE SUSPECT LIST AND BACK THE SPANISH INTO AN INESCAPABLE CORNER.

As an act of good faith, I will now list all night actions the captain and his officers have taken over the course of the game:

Night 1:

Captain Zaccino guarded his treasure.
First Mate choxorn scanned Person X and Person Y.
Quartermaster BSmith blocked Horseman Chaotix. Chaotix can confirm.

Night 2:

Captain Zaccino guarded his treasure.
First Mate choxorn killed Arjos. choxorn was killed.
Quartermaster BSmith blocked Ishmael. Ishmael can confirm.

Night 3:

Captain Zaccino guarded his treasure. Confirmed in update.
First Mate NinjaCow64 scanned Person A and Person B.
Quartermaster BSmith blocked Tiaxez, who can confirm.

I will also give a small amount of gold to any sailor who discloses their night actions to me privately.

Additionally, I pledge to consider any and all suggestions for scans, night-kills, and roleblocks. In addition to that, I encourage players to try and steal my treasure. I will be guarding it every night, and attempting to steal it, and thus revealing yourself publicly, helps clear your name.

I swear that as long as I am Captain of this vessel, I will use every power at my disposal, every iota of analytical prowess, every bone in my body to find those disloyal to the Presence and eliminate them from our midst. I swear that as long as I am Captain of this vessel, I will give small monetary rewards to those who cooperate with the Captain and his officers in completing the previously stated mission. Anyone who wishes to donate to this reward fund is certainly welcome to do so.

I swear that as long as I draw breath, I will fight against our enemies and protect true pirates. On my word as your Captain. On my word as a pirate. I swear we will win this game.
