Well they also have been kinda mean here, as a retaliation for the assasination of a high officer the entire male population of the village Putten was rounded up and adieud to Poland. Kind of a moot point, since they acted beastly in every country they "liberated". Several of those countries were voluntary allies of Germany and thus co-responsible, but Soviet troops didn't go easy on Poland either - despite the fact that a huge number of Poles actually fought alongside the Russians for the liberation of their country.

Also, the original post is a bit off. The Red Army had most of eastern Europe firmly under their boot and continued their rape and beatings for several years after the end of WW2. By the time the Deutsche Demokratische Republik was declared in 1949 they weren't done yet.

The USA were very generous to Germany, even if it was for their own ends. They even gave/allowed us a better constitution than their own, it takes a lot of love to do that.

Calling our government a puppet of the USA is a good joke, by that definition the UK&NI is the 51st state, Poland is the 52nd state and the rest of Europe are also all puppets of the USA. It's more insulting to Europeans than to Americans who will just dream about it being true anyway.

I don't think that any of that is actually U.S. policy (and I do not and never have bought into the elite conspiracy thing -- people aren't that long-sighted).
