Felt that Esooa was trying to be more accomodating to other people to specifically avoid clash based on playstyle between her and other people. Also kinda got the same vibe that I got from 4mask in the light game I played with them that when she's scum she's a bit more mush up to people on an individual level

Let me elaborate: I think Esooa has been ~marginally townie on her own. She's been able to keep up with the volume of posting despite a pretty insular playerlist and doesn't seem to be forcing much. Can these things come from a mafioso? Certainly, but they're a) light regardless, and b) not the reason why Dolby was repping his read. Dolby bothered to cite meta, which seems fake and forced, and feels like he did it to acquire credibility. The post sticks out, in a bad way.

I think it's a very viable world that Dolby is scum and TMI'd Esooa as town, just from the way he repped that read and presented it to the thread.

I disagree; feel like it's just TWTBAW, and that if Dolby were mafia he'd be more self-conscious about it!!!!

Granted I just read the posts in a matter of minutes and not stretched out over what... an hour and a half or something? So maybe I need to go back and look at timestamps because perhaps it feels differently more spread out, but I feel like that's the sort of thing where you just see a towny being !!!!!!!!!!! about solving, which I totally can get!!!

ok, this was something that I forgot about his D1. I just remember the TES/TL tunnel and screaming at Ace to shield TL and pressure GH over it

Monty not being noticeably whack in his first post is probably good in and of itself. Last time I saw him as maf he was visibly furry, and this was a multiball game where he could make himself good better by solving for his opponents.

But I was outrageously bad at solving for the other team, even compared to town baseline. The failure was perfectly genuine. And I wanted that alliance.

I have a bad habit of scumreading GH for innocuous behaviors, so I'm not voting him, but Nuzelock was my best read ever on him: I could tell within 2 posts that a D1 push he had on a paragon of towniness was incompatible with the town GH I normally sideeyed. I then fumbled the case and he carried his team to victory, but that's neither here nor there. Nor am I saying that Dolbster is a paragon as of now. Anyone who fancies themselves a meta genius can scroll back in Gameroom archives for Pokemon Nuzelock D1, GH vs. khaan, and see for themselves.

My smooth brain says that the sketchiest post in the thread was GH multiquoting all of esooas posts to show that it was too early/not enough real information for Dolby to make a real read based off of it instead of just saying it but it's like a 2/10 on the sketchy scale

I think if Esooa was Dolby's partner, Dolby would have been more likely to just drop a townread on Esooa for the reasons I mentioned rather than try to bring credibility of "I read a recent scum game of hers" into it. It's light, but just from the way it's presented etc, the reason just feels more TMI-y than partner-y.

GH's focus on that and straight up going to say that me and Esooa probably aren't teammed feels way to much like the Wazza and TL tunnels in Ice Cream for me to be comfortable with that

I don't necessarily agree with this but also this feels really towny hype!!!!!!!! Though I'm not sure how comparable this read is so early (and without a team to egg him on) and should probably make an actual GH read at some point... I'd like to say that I don't think he'd come out this blatantly as mafia, minimum third time in a row? Put like, fifty asterisks beside that read though!!!!!

Fun fact: I was going to make a case on GH at SoD based on something funny I noticed about his account, but decided not to after seeing how... despondent he was after team game!! :p
