For all my scoffing at them I have friends who are committed believers that day one reads made of tiny shadows of nuance and staff really work, so instead of my usual "just get through day one and work off the flips because flips are FACTS" stance I am joining them. Reading posts over and over looking for little cues and such.

If he is a regular townie and he claims a role like that he might clear mafia from suspicion as the game progresses. Bad for the town.
If he actually is a Cop like he claimed he just made himself a target for the mafia. Bad for the Town.
If he is mafia claiming to be a Cop and the town actually believes him then he could clear another mafia. Bad for the Town again.
I haven't played mafia with him before unlike some of you so perhaps this is what he does usually in games...

I have set myself a meta so that even now that I am a cop mafia can't tell if I am lying or not. The only way they can tell is if I green check one of them and then I probably will be ignored. Arguments about that are not as productive as actual reads and substantial commenting. But he did answer my question! I guess Timsup2nothin!? All that said, I think I still like HK more than Rask and C4. Town leans on C4 befuddle me in particular. The guy's enforcing them and they feel like a trap to me. Either C4 is scum or a wolf tmi-ed him by giving him a free pass.

The mafia would most likely include at least one person who has played with Argon. If he is town he is playing along his standard meta and mafia who have played with him may well be hesitant about getting baited into killing a vanilla townie that seems like a potential mischop. Tim , LA , Laurentus, Vro and above all HK can confirm that J have obvious reasons for single hit and run. I have school and I got to study as well at home , so you won't see much of me on D1 . My activity rises as the game goes forward, and I can gurantee that I will be of some use later on.

Now you complain about how that wasn't as productive as actual reads...to the only person in the game that has given a comprehensive reads list. I'm trying out this "be a cooperative townie" thing instead of my more comfortable "hard nose FPSing pot stirring solo wolf hunter" style, and apparently you aren't seeing it. Is there really something missing on my part, are you just really quick to tunnel, or are you just a wolf?

It's starting to feel like you are just throwing suss in every direction to get a feel for what might stick rather than doing any real solving.
