    You have my respect, I have a few family who are in the position you were but just wont admit it.

    I have nothing against alcohol but there is a limit that shouldn't be passed and some people just can't help themselves.

    No, i was actually being serious, while it is illegal, it is generally accepted that most people by that age will have had a few drinks, most parents will give their children a beer or something at a party, and it is very easy for teens to get beer because most adults don't think there is anything wrong with it and will buy it for them. Personally i think it's fine so long as the parents know.

    LOL, the cheapest drink going over here is wine, most decent wines can be bought for about $15 for a 750ml bottle(at least that's what I hear as wine will make me sick so i don't drink it) but the cheapest stuff comes in what we call a goon sack, about $5 for a 4L bag of wine

    Beer's getting more and more expensive. Can't even find a 24 pack case of miller light bottles anymore, they've changed to 18 packs. Same with everyone else. If you want something cheap, there will always be everclear.


    Granted there's always keystone, still a 30 pack case there.
    Wine is a bit different, as I am sure even kids will like it.

    that's just not cricket.

    There'd be hell to pay if that happened in Oz. A carton with yer mates on the weekend is a basic aussie right.

    Having spent the entirety of my teenage years drinking nothing but lager and eventually bitter, I've since discovered whisky. I've also come to appreciate tequila. Straight, mind you. I still can't get my head around the whole salt-and-lime thing.

    Tennessee makes some bloody good whiskey, I've been drinking JD's for a few years but i've recently been introduced to southern comfort, that's a good drop right there.
