I am...Urdnot Wrex, a Krogan Battlemaster...I look like a fusion of a slug, a lizard, and an Elite from Halo in a wacked out set of MC's armor...

Yea, so, I'm not quite sure how my character is um, relevant besides reassuring everyone the galactic god has a sense of humor, so can someone clue me in?

He is a Krugen. They are a species which breeded like rabbits and their population was only kept down due to mass civil war. Then another alien species enlightened them and used them as warriors. With no civil war and technology, they breeded like ants and started to grow swiftly into an empire like a locus swarm. The species that enlightened them did what is called the "genoplague" which is a disease where only 2% of Krugen Births survive and it is causing the species to become extinct.

    List so far:
    Commander John Shepard - Beskar
Staff Lieutenant Kaidan Alenko - Askthepizzaguy
    Gunnery Sergeant Ashley Williams
Doctor Liara T'Soni - Cultured Drizzt
Tali'Zorah nar Rayya - Tiberius of the Drake
    Urdnot Wrex - YLC
Garrus Vakarian - A Very Super Market

    Waiting for:
    Roadkill

Those who don't reveal I recommend lynching.

For the sake of accuracy, even if Beskar said the gist of it.

Unfortunately, as krogan society became more technologically advanced so did their weaponry.

Four thousand years ago, at the dawn of the krogan nuclear age, battles to claim the small pockets of territory capable of sustaining life escalated into full scale global war. Weapons of mass destruction were unleashed, transforming Tuchanka into a radioactive wasteland. The krogan were reduced to primitive warring clans struggling to survive a nuclear winter of their own creation...a state that continued until they were discovered by the salarians two thousand years later.

With the help of the salarians, the krogan were 'uplifted' into galactic society, and lent their numbers and military prowess to bring an end to the Rachni Wars. Unfortunately, after the rachni were eradicated, the rapidly-expanding krogan became a threat to the galaxy in turn, forcing the turians to unleash the genophage. This genetic 'infection' all but sterilized the entire krogan species, meaning they will likely die out within a few generations.

For those interested, here's a little bit on each major race of the setting. (There are several other races of lesser importance)

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Quote Originally Posted by Mass Effect Wiki
    ASARI

The asari, from the planet Thessia, are often considered the most powerful and respected sentient species in the known galaxy. This is partly due to the fact the asari were the first race after the Protheans to achieve interstellar flight, and to discover and inhabit the Citadel.

An all female race (however, see notes below), the asari are known for their elegance, diplomacy, and biotic talent. Their millennia-long lifespan and unique physiology - allowing them to reproduce with a partner of any gender or species - give them a conservative but convivial attitude toward other races. The asari were instrumental in proposing and founding the Citadel Council, and have been at the heart of galactic society ever since.

    SALARIAN

The second species to join the Citadel, the salarians are warm blooded amphibians with a hyperactive metabolism. Salarians think fast, talk fast, and move fast. To salarians, other species seem sluggish and dull-witted, especially the elcor. Unfortunately, their metabolic speed leaves them with a relatively short lifespan; salarians over the age of 40 are a rarity.

Salarians are known for their observational capability and non-linear thinking. This manifests as an aptitude for research and espionage. They are constantly experimenting and inventing, and it is generally accepted that they always know more than they are letting on.

    TURIAN

Known for their militaristic and disciplined culture, the turians are the most recent of the Citadel races invited to join the Council. They gained their Council seat after defeating the hostile krogan for the Council during the 'Krogan Rebellions'. The turians deployed a salarian-created biological weapon called the genophage, which virtually sterilised the krogan and sent them into a decline. The turians then filled the peacekeeping niche left by the once-cooperative krogan, and eventually gained a Council seat in recognition of their efforts.

Originally from the planet Palaven, turians are best known for their military role, particularly their contributions of soldiers and starships to the Citadel Fleet. They are respected for their 'public service' ethic - it was the turians who first proposed creating C-Sec - but are sometimes seen as imperialist or rigid by other races. There is some animosity between turians and humans, largely due to the turian role in the First Contact War. The bitterness between the races is slowly beginning to heal - shown by Nihlus, a turian, recommending Shepard, a human, to the Council for Spectre selection, and by the cooperation of the two races on the construction of the SSV Normandy - but many turians still hate humans, and vice versa.

    QUARIAN

The quarians are a nomadic species of humanoid aliens known for their skills with technology and synthetic intelligence. Since their homeworld was conquered, the quarians live aboard the Migrant Fleet, a huge collection of ships that travel as a single fleet.

Approximately three hundred years ago the quarians created the geth, a species of rudimentary artificial intelligences, to serve as an efficient source of manual labor. However, the geth gradually became sentient, rebelled against their quarian masters and drove them into exile. Now the quarians wander the galaxy in a flotilla of salvaged ships, secondhand vessels, and recycled technology.

    Doctor Liara T'Soni = Asari
    Tali'Zorah nar Rayya = Quarian
    Urdnot Wrex = Krogan
    Garrus Vakarian = Turian

The invisible mode is a new development. But ok, at least you have an explanation.

unvote, vote: Tiberius of the Drake

Simply because your reason to vote for me seems to be hastily cobbled together and your vote pretty much looks like a retaliation vote. Did I hit too close to home?

Might I refer you to basically every game I play?

I attempt to put pressure on as many people as possible to get them to talk. Unless it's still a huge game and my one vote is no pressure at all.

Either way, it is a lot of dead people.

    Day 1

The elevator whined softly as it descended into the belly of the Normandy and Shepard checked the sights of his rifle for the third time. He was nervous, how could he not be? They were all nervous. During the discussion, some accusations were made against Sergeant Williams, but she never replied. Instead, she stormed off in silence and they had been looking for her ever since. With a loud, sudden noise, the elevator abruptly halted, its doors opening to unveil the dim lighted cargo hold. In the center of the room, Shepard spotted the Mako, a hybrid between an APC and a exploration rover. A part from that, the hold was littered with a myriad of crates, but there was no one in sight.

Shepard took a few tentative steps, weary of an ambush. He felt overly exposed and an attacker could be hiding in any of a dozen locations. Nevertheless, he moved forward, towards the equipment lockers. It was there he finally noticed her, at least her silhouette. She seemed to be rifling through the lockers, looking for something. If she had heard his approach, she made no sign of it.

"Williams?" Shepard came to a halt as he interpellated her.

Once more, she didn't answer and in the face of that silence, Shepard raised his weapon and took aim at her before addressing her again in a soft but commanding voice.

"Ash, Tell me you aren't indoctrinated."

"No." She replied in a conflicted voice which was accompanied by a sigh. "But... I'm guessing you are." There was a certain sadness but Shepard didn't notice it, he was in shock at the definitiveness of her answer. Did she really think that? Before he could give it further thought, Williams spun on herself with her rifle trained on Shepard's chest and fired.

His dark gray N7 armor saved his life. The kinetic shield absorbed the hail of bullets as he staggered back. Instinct taking over, he rolled behind a crate, the next burst of fire hitting the crate instead of its intended target. He cursed silently as Williams continued to lay sporadic fire in his direction, keeping him pinned down. Her standard issue Hadne-Kedar G-912 assault rifle was not likely to run out of ammo anytime soon if she continued using controlled bursts of fire. The weapon's ammo clip contained over four thousand rounds; miniature pellets smaller than grains of sand. When fired at sufficient velocity, the nearly microscopic projectiles were capable of inflicting massive damage. Williams had fired fifty, maybe one hundred rounds, at best.

Taking back the initiative, now that his kinetic shield was fully charged, Shepard unleashed a blind torrent of fire from over the crate and slid to the next one, micro bullets whistling by his head, a few deflected harmlessly by his shield. He breathed heavily, this was fast becoming one of the most harrowing fights of his career, most certainly because this time, the enemy wasn't faceless, it was - had been - a friend. He was going to win, he would have to treat her as the enemy. Anything else would result in his death.

Repeating his blind fire then move maneuver, Shepard managed to get behind the Mako. He considered getting inside and using the turret, but Williams would rip him to shreds as he climbed aboard. He'd have to do this himself. Peaking from a corner, he was greeted by another hail of bullets. This time instead of keeping his cover, he rushed her. Surprised, she nonetheless tracked him with her sights. A millisecond before she fired, Shepard slid to the ground, her micro bullets passing high above his head. In turn, he fired a wild burst which was absorbed by her kinetic shield but forced her to take cover. Moving at a slow and steady pace, he kept his rifle trained in her direction. When she reappeared, he didn't give her to chance to aim and fire again, his bullets chewing at her shield. She ducked back behind the crate. Trying the same thing moments later, yielded the same results, except her shield was failing and Shepard was moving on her position.

She chose to enact the same strategy her commander has used, but Shepard saw it coming. Instead of taking cover, he let his kinetic shield absorb the wild shower of bullets and shifted his aim a little to the left. When Williams tried to slide to another create for cover, he had her in his sights and the automated targeting systems of his rifle did the rest. He only held down the trigger for a fraction of a second, but that was enough to cut through her shield and the heavy plates of her body armor, shredding her lower abdomen. Her momentum made her tumble haphazardly into a nearby create, were she rested immobile and in an awkward pose.

Shepard rushed to her side, kicking away her rifle as he stood over her. Already, blood was leaking from the corner of her lips as she tried to say something. Judging by the wound, she probably had massive internal injuries and would soon pass away. Dropping his rifle, he knelt next to her and took her armored hand in to his, which she clutched with the strength of desperation. Again, her lips parted to say something, but she chocked on the word and coughed out a copious amount of blood. Shepard, her commanding officer and her friend, was at a loss for words. He had killed her. There was a pause as her eyes started glazing over, she shivered instinctively and finally managed to utter words in a weak raspy voice.

"I'm... sorry." With those words, her hand became limp and Shepard knew she was dead. Another casualty in the fight against Saren, but for obvious reason this one felt terribly wrong.

Would they succeed in finding those who are indoctrinated before it was too late? Were they really some members of his team who had been indoctrinated? Had Ashley died for nothing? Only time would tell.

N.B.: The writeups are not indicative of guilt or innocence, they are written from a character's viewpoint and indoctrination is so subtle, even those who are affected do not realize it until it is too late.
