"Beskar," said everyone in unison, including Beskar.
The group moved in to slit his throat with a broken DVD. Blood flowed, and Beskar smiled. It was only then that they noticed that Beskar was plugged into Iskander's computer.
"Wait! Wait!" shouted Iskander.
But it was too late. The computer exploded.
"Teh Upgradez!!!!111! Noessssssssssssssss"
"So you knew about this all along?" everyone asked Iskander.
"He spendz teh daytimez plugged into my compy."
"And you didn't bother letting us know this?"
"50RR'/, Sorry, forgot."
The group chased off after Iskander, upset over how much time they had wasted. Only Ask the Pizza Guy remained behind, smiling wickedly over his triumph. He had stolen Iskander's upgrades, and he was satisfied that he would forever remain at version 3.1.
Mafia Victory
Roles will be posted shortly.

Sorry for revealing the twist, Iskander. I wanted to be cool and all going "Muahaha caught you!". Yeah, I set it all up for me to be seen as Mafia, though, working out all of the roles by the 2nd round was just an added luxury.

Some thoughts:
This was my first time hosting and I thank you all for bearing with me, especially with the whole weekend thing. The joker role was supposed to add a little twist, and I tried to keep it balanced by not telling the mafia killer who the joker was. However, AskthePizzaGuy is pretty experienced and was able to catch Beskar's clues right away. By the time the first day was over I realized that the mafia would have an easy victory.
Sorry to the townies if it ended up not seeming too fair, and kudos to the mafia for playing their parts perfectly. I'm still learning, and I'll try hosting another mini game in a couple of weeks. I want to make sure that by the time my small mafia comes around it'll be fun for everyone
Thanks again for playing!

I feel sorry for Iskander, I even said end of day phase "I'll warn you, the game will end tomorrow".
However, I hope my picture for his Lift Escape role makes him smile.Inspired from this game.

As a balancing, you should have made it so AskthePizzaGuy couldn't vote to lynch me and made it so I couldn't vote myself either. (he would die also, and voting for myself, makes me self-explode but doesn't harm the rest) It would mean I would have the convince the majority to vote for me, plus AskthePizzaguy would have looked suspicious if he wouldn't vote for me.

Your picture definitely made me smile, almost as much as Pizza's murder PM creeped me out. I'd post them here, but I'm at work and I'm restricted from going to any picture hosting sites (plus I probably shouldn't show my pic from Beskar's game until after it's over).

Stupid joker roles.
GG to ATPG and Whiskers, I should have known that worked out a bit too perfectly.
I didn't want to get away with a lazy victory. Almost all of my interaction with Beskar was staged for dramatic effect, and still we were getting a lot of "No Lynch" votes. This would have been the lame way for the game to end because I could have just picked someone off and next round it would have been 2 votes versus 2, a tie, and then another murder by me would have made it very simple to lynch Beskar.
I didn't want an anticlimactic ending so I played that last round as if we could only win if Beskar died that round. I really wanted to see if we could influence the voters to lynch him, even though both of us surviving the round would have been a dead end for the town anyway. After AVSM switched back to No Lynch and others were going No Lynch I was getting a little nervous.
Even after revealing Beskar's "result change" I was the only one enthusiastic about lynching him. I really tried to hammer the anomalous result point home, but changing people's minds would prove to be more difficult than I had imagined.
Finding Beskar-
We talk regularly as a matter of course due to the fact we've been in a bunch of games together. I started off the conversation by playing naive and pretending that I had no idea about the "correct" solution to the 5-man Dethy mafia. He was kind enough to play along and walk me through it.
I asked him very subtle questions to see if he knew more about the nature of the game than he was letting on, such as: "so I take it the mafia can't kill at night?" to which he responded "they have a chance to".
Then he mentioned that there was another role in the game and he wasn't sure what it was.
This set off alarm bells in my brain, because bringing up the unknown 6th role was utterly pointless for a townie to do, other than note we don't know how that factors into the equation for this game. Beskar's repeated insistence that the 5-man Dethy mafia plan would work for this unknown 6th man game also struck me as unusually poor logic for Beskar. He is definitely sharper than that.
He began hypothesizing about what the 6th role was... I suggested it might be a second mafioso, to test the waters. He suggested it could be a doctor, which I immediately doubted and rejected. My reasoning was that the 5-man dethy is almost unfair on the mafioso if the town has their act together. It is very difficult to fool the town if they know what they are doing. Adding a doctor would only make it that much easier for the town to win. Another forced kill means another round of investigations, and a chance of protecting someone versus the murder. It wouldn't interfere with the investigations because the doctor could just claim doctor right away and buy the town another round, period. A casual bit of thought about the game would lead to such a conclusion, I would think, but Beskar argued otherwise. Again, this got me most curious. As I am sure that my subtle hints in his direction did as well.
I suggested there might be two Serial Killers, or One mafia team. He suggested that would make it too hard, because two kills at night would be too many.
I had a feeling he was testing me here as well, because one would assume the mafia would have one kill or none at all in a game this small, not immediately leap to the conclusion of 2 kills. The game would be over in the second round.
Beskar brought up the idea of trying to bait people into lynching him. I responded that it might be interesting to see who would try to lynch him. It would give us a clue as to who was anxious to lynch someone (likely the mafia). In order to make sure I wasn't tipping my hand too much, I rejected the idea as being potentially dangerous. What if he actually got lynched?
"Then we get the bandwagoners" he said.
Ah yes. Well, even if he wasn't sure I was mafia, he was still trying to die. From my perspective, a townie who wanted to die was a good thing, and if Beskar was my partner, him dying would be perfect. Either way it was a win/win for me. And most any reasonably aware townie wouldn't try something so dangerous and foolish in a simple game where they themselves already established a nearly foolproof plan to catch the mafia. Attempting another, riskier, less intelligent strategy all for the purposes of Woah, I'm Freaking Obviously Mafia, told me that woah, he was freaking obviously mafia.
We parted ways. I didn't feel the need to go any further with the hinting. Many hours later he asked the obvious hypothetical: "What if I were mafia in a game and I told you that privately. Would you try to lynch me?" So I ask him which game he is mafia in. (Can't resist a good bit of bait) So he said Dethy mafia. At that point I said his earlier behavior had triggered my scum sensors. Not knowing whether or not the town had roles that were aware of this strange joker/mafia pairing, I decided then to investigate Beskar that night instead of killing.
I asked him if he wanted to be lynched, and he said no... you wouldn't lynch me. You'd never lynch me. Except in this other game... Then I told him I didn't believe he was a mafioso. I told him I believed he was a Joker role, to which he replied, if you know that, you're mafia. Still leaving open the possibility that this was all an elaborate ruse, I admitted I was mafia.
From there we spent quite a lot of time attempting to orchestrate his lynch, which was not as easy as I thought it would be. But it was a lot of fun.
I burned my night action ability on checking out Beskar just to make doubly sure I wasn't being played, and of course to make it a little harder on myself. "Hey, free murder... nah."

The game has a loophole:
Although Beskar and I played in a fair manner which didn't exploit the obvious loopholes, and we attempted to win the hard way (getting him and only him lynched) rather than picking off everyone one by one, there was a simple, obvious solution which breaks the game.
Beskar could have PM'ed everyone and just stated he was mafia. Now, the townies may or may not have believed him, but the real mafioso would have probably believed him. Next, the mafia would simply have had to avoid murdering him, and the two of them could effectively stop almost all activity from the town which could have won the game for them.
Beskar did not do that, but it was a loophole that I saw.

kudos to ATPG and Beskar...
good job Iskander...i do feel the game is a little imbalanced...maybe you could have made it that the mafia and the joker cannot work together...maybe the mafia cannot win if joker wins...that way once ATPG identified the joker he would have to convince the rest not to vote for Beskar but without telling he is a joker role... i havent thought it through..so correct me if iam wrong.

Ah, you tricky little demons. I wasn't taken in by Beskar's post editing, but his reasoning and logic seemed extremely scummy. Good game guys.

Admittedly, given the circumstances, the odds of a mafia victory seemed unbalanced.
If Beskar and I hadn't played intelligently, there was a good chance I might have murdered him and lost the game, or I might have gotten lynched and he would have lost the game, but... if you work things out in your head it is fairly simple to avoid that.
The only hard part was actually trying to get a bandwagon on Beskar. After a year of trying to avoid getting lynched, I was actually stumped as to how to get someone lynched intentionally.
