@ Frontline1944: i followed your advice and changed that file. I have eleutheroi icon in my faction screen menu, but when i start campaign game just brings me back to main menu after some loading time. Do you, or anybody else, know what is the problem? I'm playing on rtw.exe btw.

It worked for me, although in vanilla RTW and MTW2... (Playin' with the Papal States is fun).
And you don't need to replace it with anything, just Ctrl-X Ctrl-V into the playables.

In my file (descr_strat) eleutheroi were already listed as a playable faction (i've never edited that file before, so i found it weird): there was just empty space where nonplayable faction(s) should be listed. Slaves were last on my list, so i've deleted Saba and put slaves instead.
Ah, whatever... i can't play them anyway...
