It's not all THAT political, didn't mean to blow it up like a big deal, just wanted to make sure I wasn't violating any rules and don't want to inadvertently get the thread derailed! Keep in mind I'm in the US where this is still issue is still sadly debated fiercely.
Yes, I know this is REALLY stretching it considering ancient Greeks wouldn't have even given a thought to labeling human sexuality in such a way, it's just a fun way to stomp on some toes. Picked "480bc" since it's the date of the Thermopylae battle, probably the main reason Sparta has achieved timeless legendary status, even though they were prominent as well before then. ;)

As for the Spartan demotivator, if you really wish to get technical, they were bisexuals/pederasts. Homosexual sex with grown males was taboo, from the history books I have read.
