Having recently re-installed M2TW on my new laptop, and with plenty of spare time on hand, I wish to join this game, if you will have me

I have already installed LTC as well as the KOTF mod, and tested it out on the latest save. Am I right in assuming that I only need to wait before I will be assigned an avatar?
