Thread: Lords of the East - Council Chambers

Default Re: Lords of the East - Council Chambers

The doors of the throne room open. A new face enters the holy halls of the Caliph.

A tall bald man wearing orange and yellow caftan walks into the hall.
Every three steps he flings himself to the ground, resting for three seconds just to get up to take another three steps flinging to the ground again. He is doing so until he reaches the circle of the diplomats.
He now stands up and raises his voice.

I am Kushinagar, monk of the order of Theravada.

I am here to represent the new rulers of Sindh. He pauses.

With eyes filled with joy he continues.
I proudly announce that Sindh has now returned to the faith of its ancestors. Sindh now is a Buddhist Kingdom. From now on it will be known as the Buddihst Realm of Sindh.

He is looking into the round of the remaining envoys.
As Buddhists we seek no war with any nation or religion. We are looking for cultural exchange and wish to establish trade with every kingdom.

Any diplomatic action shall be discussed with me.

He pauses again. He then sits down on the floor cross legged taking a deep breath.

May Peace be upon all of us. May Buddha be our eternal teacher.

He then closes his eyes and starts meditating quietly.

    The woman stands and bows.

May I be the first to welcome you here, stranger.

Our eastern borders know much of Buddha. His teachings carry on the lips of those bordering the Qara-Qhitai.

We are impressed you would abandon the philosophies of Muhammad and choose to embrace the thoughts of Siddhārtha. Though, no doubt, this may put you at odds with some of your neighbors...

    She smiles.

Should that happen, sadiq, please never be afraid to look to the north... we are always willing to serve in times of trouble.

She bows low and takes her seat.

Bland is reclining at leisure in his purple silks, eating grapes with his feet draped nonchalantly over the arm of the former Caliph's throne. At the entry of the Sindhi monk he sits up a little straighter and is about to say something when he is interrupted by the Qara-Suu.

He waits patiently for her to finish and then clears his throat deliberately, before proceeding.

Welcome Eastern traveller to the halls of the Crusader King Baldwin, Lord of the Levant, Satrap of Syria and Baron of Baghdad!

Your good offices are appreciated here and it is with interest that we note your official conversion to......that other eastern sect.

If your beliefs are as fluid and pliable as they appear, would it be rude to suggest you might consider converting to Christianity, that your people might be spared the eternal fires of damnation?

Simply a suggestion, bear it in mind if you will...

It is early morning. The sun just rises above the minarets of Baghdad. It is the time when Kushinagar is having a last look at this great city before he passes the next dune and the citys silhouette vanishes in the distance.

Kushinagar had a dream last night in which the Wise and Great Ashoka himself appeared to him. He asked Kushinagar to move on and spread the word.

Kushinagar now is on his way to the far lands of Africa to spread the Wisdom of Buddha.

Before he left Kushinagar asked some Sindhi Silk Road merchants to deliver any important news to the Sindh.

After the Buddhist monk had left, obnoxious sobbing draws the attention of those nearest to the Omani table. Femr, crying in his drink and a glazed look in his eyes, drunkenly says “I’m going to missss that bald (hic) little guy...” He pauses to take a swig of his drink, sloshing most of it on the sailor beside him, then continues “with his fanatical ritualsss and pass-(hic)-ifist babble, what a ssswell guy.”

Thinking Femr was drunk, the sailor tried to help him up and take him back to his room. Femr just shook him off and spoke again, “But you know what, you know what! I’ll tell you why that monk was so darn happy all the time, it was those Sindh drugs. I’ve sure been happy since he got here! Stuff’s strong enough to topple an elephant. And I’ll tell you, I’ll tell you....” Femr trails off for a second.

His brow furrows as if suddenly struck by a depressing thought. His eyes snap back into focus and he seems to instantly sober up. “I’ll tell you this, that monk is a damn fool, thinking he’ll go off and magically convert people. Only three things I know of that can change a persons mind: coin, sword, and...” Femr looks around the room, smiles, then continues “well the third might not be so proper to say in a civilized court such as this.”

Captain Amr just sits back and laughs as two, then three sailors try to ‘help’ Femr to his room after his drunken rant. All the time, Femr insisting that he's sober enough for a few more drinks. Captain Amr eventually has to step in when Femr broke a chair over one of the sailor’s head. As Captain Amr took his old friend for some fresh air, the two mostly unscathed sailors help their wounded comrade up and the three of them hobble back to the quarters where they can recuperate.

The Kwarez diplomat emerges from his chambers, and approaches the podium

It has been too long I have last spoke!
Our Shah has been too busy centralizing his empire to dwindle in diplomatic affairs,
and as a result I have grown accustom to your women and drink.
    But duty calls!

The kwarez diplomat takes out a parchment and raises it for all to see

Heath my words council members, for my Shah now wish to conduct diplomacy with you fine people...

    1. First, I shall deal with the good,
The Shah, has noticed that the mighty Kypchak Confederacy has grown strong and powerful!, The Shah is very impressed, and admire the ferocity and warrior ethos of these tribal people. For this reason he wishes to extend an alliance with these people, so that together we can prosper.

    2. Second, our Shah wishes to speak with Rajput Empire,
The Shah is glad with their present policy of peace and mutual respect for our border, as a result, we noticed that the Rajputs have moved his troops away from the border, the Rajputs have our respect for this, and as a result we have done the same.
This shall continue so long as peaceful prospects between our empire persists, our ambitions in the East is over, we hope you feel the same with the West

    3. Third, we send our peaceful greetings to the Sindh,
The Shah is respectful of this small but fierce nation, but we send a warning, your expansion Northwest must cease, our spies have noticed the advances towards lands desired by the Shah. Do not expand into these lands, especially if you cannot properly defend it, I would suggest for the continued peace between our people that you retreat your forces, and contact us for discussion on proper land desires and claims, and we will be happy to negotiate with you some kind of compromise.

The Kwarez diplomat after delivering his message, steps down off the podium and carefully rolls up the diplomatic parchment

Now if you will all excuse me, but I have more womanizing and drink to attend too, our Shah will keep in touch.

The kwarez diplomat walks out of the council, back to his chambers

    - Kwarez Shah

    The Kypchak woman smiles.

Of course. It would be an honor to accept an alliance with our great neighbors, the Shahdom of Khwarezm.

She hits the boy next to her and shoos him away.

    Go tell them we accept!

Then she turns back to the court, smiling again.

And we extend the same offer to our neighbors, the great Crusader States.

Of course... know that these alliances do not guarantee we will not accept contracts for or against you. But it does guarantee that--until such time. sadiqs--we will call you friend and aid you in your endeavors to grow and maintain your borders.

May fate be good to you.

    She takes her seat.

Orloomo Bland swings his legs down from the arm of the Caliph's throne and onto the polished marble of the dais. He rises to his feet and sweeps his purple cape back over his shoulder before addressing the courtroom.

We are pleased to see our great allies the Khwarezm prosper. The Sindhi would be wise to come to some peaceful arrangement with them, for they are mighty indeed.

Turning to the old woman, he bows deeply before continuing.

Madame, we should be most pleased to accept your offer of alliance. The rise of your great nation has not gone un-noticed by his Majesty and we seek only peace with our new neighbours.

An Omani messenger scurries into the courtroom carrying a satchel full of letters. As he reaches the Omani table, he digs through his bag and pulls out a couple letters, throwing them onto the center of the table. As the sailors sort through them, the messenger walks over to Captain Amr, considers dumping his bag out, but decides otherwise. Amr happily accepts the stuffed bag and starts digging though it. From an inside jacket pocket, the messenger pulls out a letter, marked with the official seal of the Admiralty. “You might want to read this first, Captain,” the messenger says, handing Amr the letter. The messenger excuses himself as Captain Amr opens the letter and starts to read. The captain’s brow furrows as he scans down the page. He finishes, folds it up, and sticks it in his pocket; then turns to his crew and barks a few orders. In less then a minute they pull themselves together and rush out of the entrance.

The courts gaze follows the commotion, but as soon as the court doors slam shut all eyes turn back to the Omani table. Scanning down the table, all that was left of the Omani were overturned chairs and half-empty glasses, except for, at the very far end of the table, two figures set slouched in their chairs visibly quivering. The silence was unearthly as the court waited, watched the two figures as they tried to disappear behind the table.

Praying to Allah that they could be forgotten by more then just the Captain, but conceding defeat, the two figures stand up. The shorter one nudges his taller companion forward 'encouraging' him to speak.

Still shaking, he starts, "My name...M-my name isss..., well it’s really long, h-hard for others to say, b-but most just call me Zurm, and this is Em. We’re here as dip-lo-matic assistants for the Admiralty, not really suppose to do anything, j-just observe diplomatic process, learn, carry out menial tasks, nothing like this, not suppose to have to make decisions, don’t talk they say, don’t even cough they say, we don’t even the auth-OW!," Zurm yelps as Em jabs him sharply in the side, “and we will be the eyes and ears of the Admiralty while the ambassador-I mean Captain is... how’d he put it?" Zurm turns to Em. "I believe he said that the were already launched and the ball would start without them if they didn’t get their asks in motion!" Zurm gives Em a funny look, "He didn’t say ! And he might kill someone at a ball, but there’s no way he would be rushing off to one. Plus, he’s really scary! Who would go with him?" Em replies, "No, no, I’m pretty sure that’s what he said." "What about ships, he could have said ships, and brawl that sounds a lot like ball!" Em yanks his taller companion down to his level, "Are you trying to correct your superior!?" "We’re in the same position, the bottom!" "No!!! I’m your superior, I started before you!" "So you started the day before me, big deal" "Yes, it is a..............................!!!"

Zurm and Em continue arguing, but by this time it was only for an audience of few, for most of the court had long since gone back to their own duties.

    The doors slam.

    BUUURP He laughs out loud.

A huge, extremely buff man enters the room. He has long, wild, blonde hair. He is dirty all over and stinks like crazy. He has been in the field for years already starting his journey in the wild north in the lands of Europea apparently. He is wearing all different sorts of chain and fur and leather from all different breeds. On every peace there are engravings of diverse languages – Arabic, Sanskrit, Latin and signs unknown to the civilized world. He and his men obviously raided merchants and armies from every land. The body parts not covered reveal huge tattoos and scars. He is wearing tons of jewellery robbed from people from the entire world. Huge gold chains, giant gems and massive carvings of ivory. What a mercenary captain that is! A true warrior! His two bihaender he had to leave outside when he entered the hall.

    Spitting on the floor.

I captured this message when my men and I raided a Sindhi silk caravan. Spitting on the floor again. However… the family of one my slave girls descendents from Sindh… BUURP! Ah those camels taste great He laughs out loud. She begged me to deliver this message and I am in a good mood so I felt like I am going to do her a favour. I want to raid those rich lands a bit longer anyway.

He is looking into the room noticing the Omani “delegation” huddling in the corner. He walks over to them and punches each of this pitiful human beings with his bear paws straight in the face so they fall of their chairs.

MESSAGE DELIVERED!! He laughs out loud.

I told you… the family of one of my slave girls descendents from Sindh. … and I dont like her to be sad. She neither is a good nor a good cook when she is sad… Ha! Why bother you say? Why not just take one of the other slave girls you own… you got plenty of them like from every land and every race. Blonde women from the north, nubic women from the lands of Africa, Indian women, women from the Mediterranean… Yes! True! But I just got to like the taste of these Sindhi delights. Therefore!

He laughs out loud, walks over to the throne of the former Caliph and grabs a truss of grapes. …look at these Omani bastards… He laughs out loud. …but what can you expect from men spending all the time jammed together on a ship… Disgusting… Groentjie! He takes another truss of grapes and gulps it down his throat. BUUUURP

The woman puts her hand in her head and sighs, whispering...

How has this courtroom gotten so mad?

Then she lifts her head and smiles.

I am guessing this sudden disgust for the Omani Admiralty has to do with their invasion of your territories? Certainly... sadiq... we wish you well in defending your lands, but we also must admire the Admiralty for such a speedy sneak attack...

    She coos.

And here I thought them mere drunkards. Surprises come in all shapes and sizes...

As Zurm and Em help each other to their feet, Zurm touches his bruised eye. “Owww! That was uncalled for. We don’t even know what’s going on. We were just ‘left’ here as fill-ins, until a proper diplomat returned—Hold on! Did she say invasi-” “I’ll tell you what she said!” Em interrupted, “She called Omani drunkards! I’m no drunkard! And Femr Ushem is no example of what it means to be an Omani! Why, oh why, are sailors the only Omani anybody ever remembers! Why not merchants or imams or diplo-

    BANG

The unexpected slamming shut of the entrance’s doors startles Em into silence. As the court looks towards the entrance, it becomes apparent that the figure had been standing there awhile and had used the slamming of the door to draw the courts attention. If not for the Omani crest embroidered on his jacket, few would have the believed this new comer to be of the same breed as the pirates they had come to associate with Oman. His dark hair, neatly combed, fell just short of his shoulders, the golden handle of a sword glittered in its ivory sheath, and his finely crafted silk garments were bright red, with a touch of ocean blue, and accented with gold trim.

Now that’s what I’m talking about!” Em says, but Zurm elbows him hard in the side to shut him up.

The new comer clears his throat, then, once he had everybody’s attention, he starts “I am Malek al-Bakr, personal messenger of Grand Admiral Walid, of the Omani Admiralty. I have been sent here as representative and dignitary of Oman to this court, until such time that Captain Amr can resume his duties here. Before you all go back to your own duties I have a letter, from the Naval Council of Oman, that I was instructed to present to the court. It reads:

    Dear dignitaries,

This letter is an official declaration of war against the Malikate of Sindh by the Omani Admiralty. The Admiralty has seen the desolation that the rulers of Sindh have dragged their people down into. Their ‘change of religion’ is nothing but a ploy to distract other nations from the atrocious living conditions the people of Sindh now dwell, while their leaders sleep in beds of gold. But even those riches are not enough for them; they greedily send their armies off towards Khwarezm territory in search of more lands to plunder and people to enslave.

The people of Oman experienced such hardships under the rule of the Imamate and the false prophet Murshed, and will not stand by idly while the people of Sindh suffer the same, stripped of everything they hold dear: their families, their lands, and their god.

    Signed,

    Naval Council
    Grand Admiral Walid
Thank you for your ears and your time respectable dignitaries,” Malek finishes. Malek folds up the letter as he walks over to the Omani table. As he passes the mercenary slaver, Malek says “My ‘associates’ might be pushovers, but I assure you that I am one of the finest swordsmen of Oman, I've even bested Captain Amr on occasion.” Once reaching the Omani table, Malek eyes the dirty glasses still left on the table and signals a servant to clean it up. He pulls a clean goblet from an inside pocket of his jacket. As he sits down, he slides the goblet towards Em and Zurm. They just stand there, looking at it dumbfounded. “You going to fill it anytime this week?!” Malek asks.

As Zurm almost stumbles over himself to fill the goblet, all Em can do is say,

    Oh, Crap

Zurm enters the court from a side corridor and walks up to where Malek sits. Zurm bends down to whisper in Malek’s ear. After a minute, Malek nods his head and sends Zurm off. He then stands to addresses the court.

“My fellow dignitaries, I have just received word from the east of the creation of the Grand Oceanic and Indian Alliance, or GOIA for those among us who might have trouble remembering such a long name.” Malek pauses to look over at the mercenary slaver, who came to the court as the Malikate of Sindh’s only defense, and a prime example of its corruption. Malek continues “The GOIA is the union of the Rajput Empire and the Omani Admiralty in the interest of common defense and the liberation of the people of Sindh. The Grand Oceanic and Indian Alliance has pledged its resources to free the people of Sindh and take them under its protection. Any incursion, by foreign militaries, into the lands of Sindh shall be viewed as an act of aggression against the GOIA.”

after much long debate within the council, the chattering finally stops, and for a brief moment, there is silence and peace among the respect diplomats and representatives, and yet there is an unease as if a calm before the storm.

No sooner can the silence take hold when there is a faint echo of footsteps that gradually get louder as it approaches the door of the council.
Suddenly the footsteps cease completely and the door slams open.

The Kwarez diplomat enters the room, dressed in the finest military gear, he takes a seat at his respectful designation.
There is a renewed sense of purpose about him, as if a completely different man from his previous council visits.

    "Good day council members,
The good Shah wishes to extend his warmest welcome to each and everyone of you, and that all your campaigns in the future give your nations the respect and glory it rightfully deserves...
And yet, there are some intriguing developments afoot, that the Shah himself insisted upon addressing with the utmost urgency.
Specifically, the creation of the GOIA, and their war against the Sindh.

First of all, The Shah is very disappointed in the Omani Admiralty and Rajupt Empire, we have always shown respect for these nations, and thought our neighbors of the East to be in good standings.. and yet this how they treat us?

These people of the Omani and Rajupts wish to go to war with the Sindh, then it is there business the Shah has no ambitions or desire to take any of the Sindh lands, nor does the Shah really care that these people go to war with them at all.
But let us not fool ourselves, The Rajupt's and the Omani alliance is not for Liberation and Mutual Defense against the Sindh, for my spies know for a fact, that most of their armies were heading towards our lands, not theirs...('Which is why my Shah recently asked them to retreat'), and that the Sindh are the weakest nation of the East.

    So then I ask?
Why do they need an Alliance, to invade this weak country?
Why do they act like two hungary vultures picking away at a dead animal, unwilling to share?

As I've said The Shah does not care for the lands of Sindh, and he has no intention of stealing away Sindh lands from the GOIA,

But what angers the Shah the most about the GOIA is their lack of character, dispense with the liberation and defense rhetoric and call your aggressive-opportunistic invasion of a weaker unprepared nation what it truly is, because you are not fooling anyone!.

The Kwarez diplomat sits down, and kneels back to a stuned council for speaking what is rarely heard within these walls... the truth.

HEY!! I will send one my riders to report all this to Sindh.
…maybe they will pay me for this service...

He is leaving the hall to inform one of his soldiers.

Later on a rider is on his way to deliver the news of the ongoing in Baghdad to Sindh.

The doors open. One of the man of Kampvegter and one of the slave girls of the northern mercenaries enter the halls.

    Read this!

    The woman starts to read.

    Dear Council of Nations,

We, the rulers of Sindh address you in the darkest hour of Sindh. The people of this peace loving nation are now facing an absolutely unprovoked invasion from two mighty empires. The chances to survive this massive aggression are slim to zero. The destruction of the entire Sindh is just a question of time.

The accusation of the Omani are so ridiculous that we refuse to even address it.

This is nothing but an aggressive occupation of a sovereign realm in order to gain land and become more powerful.

The Shah is right worrying about the formation of the Evil Empire. This clearly is a coalition aimed against him.

Days before the invasion took place the Maharaja proposed this to the Sindh.

    Regards
    …says it all.

The answer of Sindh obviously did not satisfy the Rajputs so they are now rushing to join the invasion of Sindhi lands to secure them self a peace of the cake just to become stronger and implement the invasion plans of the Shahs land themselves – now with Omani flavour.

The Shah should be aware. Once Sindh is occupied he will face an epic two front war conducted by the Rajputs and Omanis.

The Omanis already have proven the willingness to strike fast across the water and the Rajputs by now revealed their true plans.
Sure, the Rajputs and Omanis will deny any such plans but how can you deny the obvious…

At the time this messenger arrives the Sindhi capital already will be destroyed by Evil Forces.
There will be no paean. Destroying the little peace loving nation of Sindh is nothing but mass murder. May all the Omani and Rajput mass murderer be doomed and cursed forever.

We, the rulers of Sindh urge every nation to condemn this totally unprovoked attack and the upcoming mass murder of hundred thousand innocent Sindhi people.
We furthermore urge every nation to in a great act of humanity stand beside the Sindhi people and help to repel this invasion. Dont let the Sindhi people be erased!

May Ashoka the Great be with us. May the Buddhist Wisdom guide the people of Sindh and give them peace in these days of doom.

    Thats all the woman says.

    Stillness.

Even the tough veteran warrior of the mercenaries from the north silences now…

    The woman frowns.

    Such a waste of information.

    She sighs.

War is war, and the Khwarezm seem to be masters of it. I don't blame the Rajput Empire for being cautious.

As Malek enters the court and makes his way towards the Omani table, Zurm and Em jump to their feet and meet him halfway. They get through telling him most of the Khwarezm speech when-

    Ha, ha, ha

Malek’s booming laugh fills the chamber, but Em interrupts him and finishes catching him up on the Khwarezm and Sindh speeches. At this point Malek’s cheer disappears and a frown appears on his face, “I see.”

He contemplates the news for a second, then addresses the court, “Interesting this news the Sindh send to us, I will of course have to have my people check on the authenticity of this information, but even if this is true it changes nothing for Oman. Our interest in the plight of the people of Sindh started long before befriending the Rajputs. We only just recently began talks with our new friends. Once our liberating forces had landed on the shores of Sindh, we thought it best to announce ourselves to our new neighbors. We are not a greedy people and would have little use for inland colonies; plus, very few Omani would be willing to travel so far inland to help rebuild the tattered lands, so we invited our neighbors to help. The Rajput Empire was both eager and well positioned to help liberate the people of Sindh; all the while the Khwarezm remained silent to our letters. Knowing that the Khwarezm are already a vast empire, with both rebel settlements and the carcass of the Seljuk for them to scavenge and grow, we took the Maharajah up on his offer.”

“You must understand, dear Khwarezmi...” at this point Malek turns his full attention towards the Shah’s representative, “...although your lands lay so close to ours, our people could not be more different. My people’s hearts beat to the sound of crashing waves; whether it’s against the wooden planks of a boat or on the shores of a warm sandy beach, while your people thrive on earth and rock. No offense, but in our stories of old, thus is the fate of only our most infamous villains and a trial of our greatest heroes. Your a people of lands truly not suited to the needs of the Omani, so please forgive me when I laugh at the image of an Omani people stuck in the northern reaches.” Malek smiles at the thought again, but it goes away when he returns his attention to the Khwarezm. “Yes, you are right that we did not seek an alliance with the Rajputs to defend against the Sindh. You were an unknown quantity to us and with your habit of berating your smaller neighbors when they seek lands that you have silently claimed (we are not the Qara-Suu, we have no mystics to tell us what you are thinking), we thought it best to make a strong front just in case. The Omani seek merely to protect the progress that is being made in Sindh and for its people.”

As Malek finishes and is about to sit down, Em whispers in his ear one more time. “Oh yes,” Malek says, “I almost forgot. Mercenary! Tell your masters that if they expect us to take their words seriously, they should not send them by the mouth of a slave that is tethered to your hands like a puppet, when you yourself embody all that they claim they are not!”

As Malek sits down, he grumbles to his companions, “Damn Amr, off playing battleships, while I’m stuck here with real work. Come on, a mercenary and a slaver! How can anyone be expected to communicate with the Malikate of Sindh through that; the only language they understand is money. I may as well try communicating with the dead through a goblet of wine.”

It would probably work better, sir.” Em adds.

Malek glares at Em, “Don’t be a suck-up!”

    Em falls silent.

Bland looks confused. He turns to one of his aides and whispers a question. The young man simply shrugs and looks as bemused as Orloomo, who rolls his eyes, waves a hand dismissively and returns to his grooming.

The representative of the Shah listens intently at the rumblings of the court,
especially as the new developments concerning plots secret alliances and attacks, and shakes his head in disbelief...

Suddenly he whistles loudly, and a young Persian boy enters the rooms dressed only in rags, the Persian diplomat takes out a piece of parchment and scribbles furiously while they young Persian eyes the majestic court in wonder.

finally the Persian diplomat rolls his parchment into a wooden tube and flicks the young Persian in the back of his head so that he may reacquire his attention, the Persian diplomat than precedes to pulls out a rusted silver coin, and the boy's eye's widen...
The Persian then hands the boy the coin and the parchment and whispers something in his ear, at which moment the young Persian boy scurry's away out of the chamber.

The Persian then stands and addresses the court,

The Shah has been informed of the situation, and will take actions accordingly, I care for little for this debate of blame, and assurance of who rides the moral high horse!

The Kwarez people may be a military people that have fought in many wars, and yet we have never needed an excuse for war. We are a honorable people, and are true to our word, if we make a bond with an ally then it will be is as strong as stone, if we go to war with an enemy then we do not hide behind words to defend our actions.
    War is War...

In addition, I would like to extend my apologies to the Khan and the Crusaders, the trouble in the East does not concern you, we would welcome any help you wish to provide but are under no obligation to do so. If you would prefer to stay neutral in these affairs so far from your border we wholeheartedly understand and have always our gratitude and respect!, for such things are far from you mighty warriors minds.
We have sent you the Kypchaks our diplomat and he has offered you an official alliance, trade rights and map exchange, I hope the Khan accepts our offer and that together we may show the world what honorable warriors we truly are.

The Persian diplomat, then gathers his stuff and retires back to his chambers where he will get no sleep tonight..

    The woman bows.

We will, of course, humbly accept this offer, Sadiq.

Though we will still must take contracts on a purely neutral basis, we do recognize the generosity in your offer... so we offer Damghan to you as soon as our Ghul can take it next season. And to the Crusaders... should they still wish an alliance... we offer the heads of the remaining Seljuk nobles... to be offered via the blades of the Stygian Eye until their line is destroyed and their cities rebel.

May both of your wars be profitable and your ambitions true.

She bows again and grows silent.

    Kampvegter enters the hall.

Come here you Nubian fortune of joy and report to me…

    Haah… really? uhh? What a jakker…

    Mhh… It’s on…

Everything is on you now Khwarazm.

If the Shah is a wise ruler he will see what is coming to him.

India will attack Khwarazm – the sooner or later. War is inevitable.

India is growing. With the occupation of the entire Sindh it will rise above and they will attack - and the Omani will stand on their side.

It’s on the Shah to decide when not if Khwarazm will have to fight India. The longer he is going to wait the more powerful it will grow – and the Omani will stand on their side

I, Kampvegter, The Legend of the Kaap, give you my word as a warrior that me and my men Die Helde van die Noord will fight along your side until the end of the world if you take the right decision.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

However… If you decide to join the invasion of Sindh be sure you wont get anything out of it. Those two little pathetic settlements in the east you might try to conquer got nothing to offer and the armies I retreated from the far northwest are now stationed in those provinces. So make sure you send a big enough force, lots of spies or a siege weapon to those provinces.
I rather defend that what is defendable than launching a suicide attack of those elephants.
Hence India will conquer my entire territories as the Omani will not be able to hold the capital they are about to conquer. Trust me, they wont hold it. Which means India will get everything and you in the end might end up with those pathetic little settlements conquered at extremely high costs.

And if you do nothing at all the same is going to happened only that India then even will conquer those two little settlements in the west making them even more powerful.
