My view on this is basically keep your distance, as in allowing the girl to make most of the 'first steps' in text messaging and other things, as they love the replies, also, when you text/phone/invite out of the blue, it is "special".

Simply enlighten the poor female on the wonderous life she is missing out on. She can easily rectify this by joining you in volunteering at the Camel stables, I've got plenty of work to do, and I don't mind if you take the afternoon off to roll in the hay, if you know what I mean.

After a week of this, she will realise how wonderful camels are and she will not need anything ever again.

Competition is fine, I'm not sure you understood, but when one's proficiency comes at the expense of anothers lack there of, the furthuring of a healthy relationship cannot be had.
