Wait, Beskar, how DO you make the Windows 7 bar go to the left corner of the screen?

(I'll be embarrassed if it's anything like Control Panel -> Settings -> THE BAR AT THE BOTTOM -> Change)

Right click taskbar then untick "Lock the taskbar" and you can drag it to the side.

Can't find the option anymore either, guess they just removed it, Ibn-Khaldun.

It still doesn't resize my pictures though, as long as I keep their size in kilobytes small enough.

You can get a lot of different and good pictures for free from there (you don't need to sign up, only for a greater range).


As for the Toolbar on the side. With Widescreen, it makes no sense for the bar to be at the bottom, as it takes up the vertical size realestate, which is in much demand.

Looking at some of the pics here I notice lots of you have loads of files and folders on your desktops.

I have heard (and I'm pretty sure it's true) that all files and folders on your desktop are loaded into memory when you log in using your user profile. This means that storing lots of files on your desktop will not only dramatically slow down your log in time, but it will also reduce the memory available for your other programs.

Keep your desktops clear of clutter!


Shortcuts are tiny so shouldn't be a problem, but I find a cluttered desktop an annoyance more than anything else, so personally I don't have any icons on my desktop.

God I am such a nerd. I put my stuff on the oceans to keep it from screwing too much with the map, making my entire desktop as inconvenient as hell. I just throw whatever I use often up there, so not the most compact and efficient way to go about things.
