Nice reflexes by ol' George. I'm mildly impressed.

EDIT: The appropriate response, of course, would be:

"Now who throws a shoe? Honestly! You fight like a woman!"

    Funny as **** .
Who remembers the TV footage of Saddams statues and the shoes with the commentator saying locals shoes really show the contempt for Saddam and his policies ?
But antway since Bush is celebrating the provisional acceptance of Iraqi(Iranian) terms how does that leave all the other members of the coilition of the gullible once January comes around ?

On another note both shoes struck the American flag , showing such disrespect to the banner of freedom surely deserves a response in the strongest manner possible , hence I put forward the motion that all freedom loving American patriots should apply pressure to their reprasentatives to invade Iraq now , especially as it is rumoured that the shoes in question had insoles to fight odour and as such would contain chemicals that are on the UN proscribed list for Iraq .
These shoes in the wrong feet could be turned into weapons of mass destruction , we must act now in case Iraqi journalists join with Al-Qaida and before you know it the good citizens of NY will be bombarded with terrorist shoes on the MTA....for the sake of freedom invade Iraq now or we will be facing shoes in our own homelands tomorrow .
Now some of you liberal weenyanti american cheese eating surrender monkeys might say that the link between journalist and Al-qaida is weak , but I ask you to google for facts andyou will discover that the overwhelming majority of Al-qaida links you find originate with journalists .
That is irrefutable evidenc of the link between journalists and Al-qaida , one manifestation of which you have just witnessed on you-tube .
    Act now .

    Great gif Sasaki.

I have to hand it to George, he dodged that pretty well.

And he had an appropriate reaction after the whole incident too.

Meh, dodging a shoe makes an old man a hero now? I could think of more heroic deeds than that.

I don't get how his reaction time was that good. He saw the guy being pissed off, taking off his shoe and taking aim for at least a second. Thats plenty of time for basic instinct to kick in. I mean, just look at the second shot; he hardly ducks, he just kinda waves impotently at the incoming shoe.

The reporter, on the other hand, had fairly good aim, especially considering the time he had to throw, take off his second shoe and throw again.

Sorry to support the terrorists, but this dude was pretty damn good.

I am saddened by the degradation of the Iranian education system that we have allowed.

This fellow was clearly unable to fathom that in English, when trying to usher an unwanted critter from the back yard, simply saying "Shoo, shoo" is enough, and does not require bared feet.

I disagree, he had to read the trajectory of the shoe in the air before moving out of the way. Kept a smile on his face too. Better than you'd expect from a president. On the second throw he was clearly going to block it if it showed any threat of hitting him, that just shows his composure under fire.

Nonsense, you have to assume that your target is going to duck and aim closer to the center of mass. He threw too high. What he really should have done was thrown one in an arc and one in a straight line so that they both arrived at the same time.

The Iraqi journalist was clearly wearing daps, just a look them fly in the air and how quickly he takes and throws them, If I was tossing my shoes it would take far longer, unless he had them both off before he was going to throw them, which I think he did, if you look at him between the first and second shot, he bends down to pick one up.

The guy next to Bush clearly risks his hand to deflect the second shoe, what a hero.

The irony about this incident is that while this is causing mass masterbatorial reactions by the usual suspects, this journalist would have NEVER dared do a similar action to the person that would have been speaking at that podium 6 years ago. So while the BDS (Bush derangement syndrome) folks enjoy this moment, remember this: Bush made it possible for this man to display his displeasure without fear of immediate execustion of himself, his family, and possibly destruction of his entire community.

When Bush leaves office, he should join a professional dodgeball team.

Yeah, not bad for a guy that can't chew pretzels and breath at the same time. However, I am disappointed that a secret service agent didn't dive in front of George and take that barrage of shoes for POTUS. Miliki should have caught George in the face with a cream pie as he ducked just for laughs!
