Thats right, you just need the Dice gods blessing. So get out your sacrificial lamb and your altar to the dice gods, then perform the necessary rituals. I assure you after your blood soaked offering the Dice gods will smile upon you with their blessing
(OK, done butting in.)
(and no, I do not condone animal sacrifice. )

oh you haven t been reading my posts. i actually use a mathmatical probablity equation i made up especially for this. i plug in variables based off my opponents probable moves based off of certain information and a pysche analysis of the opponent.
Going overboard?
ill let my score speak for itself.
So yes, you are going overboard.

its really not that hard ill reveal my equation at the end, it takes like three seconds to do.
but for those of lesser intelligence, eh who knows.
(ooc: yeah im just sort of playing up the whole villian thing now.)
I'll tell you what I'll do, because your system has officially piqued my interest: If you end up keeping the #1 seed and winning the tournament, I'll take you on myself in a friendly match, with both of us sending our choices to a neutral party.
You've got to do both though: Win the regular season and then take care of business in the knockout round. Otherwise I'm not interested.

well then it will be a game of luck i can guess based off your personality but i cant make any judgments off your previous moves because you have none.
hey if we win do we get a medal like ca got last game? i dont care i was just wondering.
but this is awesome. Thanks for hosting it GH
I was thinking seriously of throwing Paper first. Oh well. Now my rise may begin.
BLARGH!
Analysts predict that DiY should be scheduled for a win after 5 straight losses if the pattern holds
You cannot add days to life but you can add life to days.
I want to try you for size now, out match will come eventually
I do see what you mean to a certain degree, for example players that throw nothing but rock are eventually going to be caught out, If you at a players pattern you may have a better chance of beeating them, but your strategy's are partly luck too, as players can always throw a spanner into the works, and you can't always avoid that unless your psychic, unless your claiming to be.
As well, I think everyone knows each other to a certain degree, so the personality things is hard to work out, for example what characteristics prompt scissors?
Waiting on Sprig, if he can manage to blast it through the errors.

Bad.
And as the forum comes back to normal, so the writeups do return.
Day 6 results
With the conclusion of this day, the contestants will officially have passed the halfway point of the round-robin phase of the tournament. Some players will be happier than others to mark this milestone. Centurion1 for instance, having yet to lose in the entire tournament and riding a 4-match win streak, can only hope that his excellent play continues. Meanwhile, Death is Yonder, having another string of horrible luck so far, can only hope to pull off another one of his patented late-tournament comebacks. As for everyone between those two in the standings, they too have their own private hopes and wishes, but they cannot afford to dwell on them for long as the referee enters the stadium, signaling the start of the day's matches.
The referee acknowledges the contestants, and raises his hand in the air.
"Rock... paper... scissors... shoot!"
The first match of the day is between two of the tournament's most inconsistent players, Double A and Stildawn. Double A, after a first-round victory, proceeded to drop his next two matches and then rebound by winning the two after that. Stildawn has been even flakier, having a pattern of L-W-L-W-L so far in the tournament. Some savvy bettors, realizing that Stildawn is "due" for a win and Double A a loss, bet heavily on Stildawn. For once in this tournament, the pattern holds, with Stildawn's Scissors cutting through Double A's Paper.
Stildawn defeats Double A
Two longtime enemies, Sasaki Kojiro and Csargo, face each other next. Their respective tales are interwoven with each other's in competitive circles, and both men are looking to gain one more edge on each other in this tournament to brag about. Sasaki is the odds-on favorite, having a one-point edge over Csargo. However, with very few exceptions, this tournament has proven that being a favorite means nothing. Csargo once again demonstrates this point by throwing Rock, which crushes Sasaki's Scissors. "Vote: Sasaki! Vote: Sasaki!" the Ichigo Fan Club chants over and over as Csargo walks off with an unmistakable grin on his face.
Csargo defeats Sasaki Kojiro
Two bottom-feeders face off in the next match: Jolt and Sprig. Jolt, having only recorded his first outright win yesterday, is looking to keep the momentum going. Sprig, meanwhile, has been in free-fall. After taking sole possession of first place on Day 2, he has failed to record a single point since. Deciding to change up his strategy due to his losing streak, Sprig throws Paper, his first non-Rock throw of the entire tournament. It works, as Jolt has thrown Rock.
Sprig defeats Jolt
Up next is defending champion CountArach vs. red-hot Thermal Mercury, who has won three matches in a row. Normally, playing such a strong opponent would rattle any contestant, but CA, who has been in these types of situations before, is unfazed. As Thermal looks to tap into the energy of the crowd, CA calmly throws Paper. Thermal, with a very intense expression, throws Rock and immediately swears. The win streak has been extinguished. As the two shake hands afterwards, CA whispers "just a speed bump. Happens to the best of us." Thermal nods and prepares to restart the streak tomorrow.
CountArach defeats Thermal Mercury
Sigurd and hard-luck Death is Yonder duel next. By now, DiY's struggles have become well-documented and are even starting to become the stuff of legend. Nobody wants to be the person to break DiY's losing streak, and this naturally includes Sigurd, who is trying to keep pace with Centurion1. Both men stare at each other, and then throw: Rock. As the crowd's intensity ratchets up, the two contestants look at each other for a long while. After all, these two have history. It was Sigurd who ended DiY's magical run last tournament after all by defeating him in the consolation match and getting the bronze medal. DiY had this match originally circled on his calendar as a means to get revenge, but now he's just concerned with scoring some points. Finally, the two men throw: Rock again. After all of that buildup, it is a draw. DiY is ecstatic that he's finally scored, while Sigurd is taking more of a wait-and-see approach. He is watching the final match with great interest.
Sigurd and Death is Yonder draw
That final match is between Yaseikhaan and first-place Centurion1, who at this point is looking more invincible than anyone has in the history of the tournament. Centurion, for his part, is taking the increased limelight and pressure in stride, drinking in the attention and using it to fuel him even more. khaan, leading up to this match, has taken a measured approach, not changing his routine at all, not allowing himself to be affected by the increased spotlight of this match. Perhaps he should have changed things around after all. His Rock comes up short against Centurion's Paper. The streak continues.
Centurion1 defeats Yaseikhaan
Standings through Day 6:
~~~~~~~~~~~~Centurion1: 5.5
Sigurd: 4
Thermal Mercury: 3.5
Csargo: 3
Stildawn: 3
Sprig: 3
CountArach: 3
Double A: 3
Sasaki Kojiro: 3
Yaseikhaan: 2
Death is Yonder: 1.5
Jolt: 1.5
It is now Day 7!
Day 7 matchups:
Double A vs. Sasaki Kojiro
Stildawn vs. Sprig
Csargo vs. Thermal Mercury
Jolt vs. Death is Yonder
Centurion1 vs. CountArach
Sigurd vs. Yaseikhaan
Sweet... Could use more of those... haha but out of all the players... Im glad I beat you AA lol.
This was my prediction this round:
DiY : Rock/Scissors
Sigurd : Rock/Rock
How close were you to put scissors in your second throw DiY?
Phew, glad I've caught back up, at least momentarily.
Analysts are astounded by DiY's draw, does this mean that the pattern has been confounded and the losing continues? Or is this a signal for a change for the better!
And it seems that Centurion is still on his rampage...
Come Jolt, let us duel, the defeated shall take the bottom spot!
Bad.
i love myself.
this doesnt really matter anymore though i have the lead firmly enough that im probably going to get first round bye i just dont want to lose in the elimination tourney.
Waiting on Double A and Centurion.
I'm home for the holidays, so if you send 'em, I'll write 'em up.
Maybe we should start fixing the matches for Sasaki so Cent won't win
All orders received, but I'll be with family for the rest of the day. Expect a writeup either late tonight or sometime tomorrow.
Day 7 results
After a brief holiday hiatus, the Rock/Paper/Scissors tournament is back in full swing and headed for the homestretch of the round robin phase. This upcoming stretch is the final chance for participants to solidify their seedings, the top four players to get a first-round bye, and for tournament organizers to hope that the giant cluster of players in the middle group separate themselves from each other so elaborate tiebreakers are not required. The beginning of this critical stretch is only seconds away.
The referee enters the stadium, acknowledges the contestants, and raises his arm in the air.
"Rock... paper... scissors... shoot!"
The first match of the day is between Mr. Inconsistent Double A and Sasaki Kojiro, who has been stumbling in recent days of the tournament and is looking to right himself. After two straight losses to CountArach and then his archenemy Csargo, Sasaki is doing his very best to focus and deliver victory today. Double A, however, is intimately familiar with Sasaki's situation, having been in the same position earlier in the tournament. Well-prepared for Sasaki's state of mind, Double A counters Sasaki's Paper with Scissors. Sasaki's slide continues while Double A edges closer to that upper tier.
Double A defeats Sasaki Kojiro
Immediately following that match is Stildawn vs. Sprig. Stildawn is looking to put together a two-game win streak for the first time in the tournament. Sprig, meanwhile, is notable for having finally broken his rock-only streak yesterday, leaving Stildawn with no idea what he's going to throw today. Sprig decides to go right back to old reliable and throws Rock. However, he sees Stildawn breathe a big sigh of relief and knows he has been beaten. Stildawn has thrown Paper.
Stildawn defeats Sprig
The third match of the day is between Csargo and Thermal Mercury, who was the hottest player in the tournament until yesterday, when he was finally doused by CountArach. He is hoping to restart his streak today, but Csargo is a dangerous opponent, having topped such opponents as Sasaki and CA himself. Csargo decides to throw Paper initially, and it works, covering Thermal's Rock. As he smiles to himself, he doesn't notice Thermal's pained expression. All of sudden, Thermal is ice-cold.
Csargo defeats Thermal Mercury
Up next is the battle of bottom-feeders, Jolt and Death is Yonder, with last place on the line. While there's still a lot of tournament to be played, the loser of this match will have a hard time climbing out of last and playing anybody but the #5 seed in the knockout round. Upon the first throw, both men are evenly-matched, throwing Scissors. However, it is here that DiY's experience under pressure finally aids him. He adjusts course, throwing Rock, which crushes Jolt's Scissors. DiY has won on Day 7 once again to get him out of last place. Jolt, on the other hand, has serious work to do if he wants to avoid the cellar.
Death is Yonder defeats Jolt
The most anticipated match of the tournament up to this point is next. First-place Centurion1 battles defending champion CountArach in what some could view to be as a passing of the torch. Centurion has not lost a match yet in the tournament and has not even drawn anybody since Day 1. CA, meanwhile, has finally strung two wins together after putting together a terrible start. With the crowd roaring around them, the two duelists each pause, and then throw: Scissors. Throw again. CA looks at Centurion for a long while, finally noticing a bead of sweat rolling down his cheek. At last, after 7 days of near-perfection, Centurion has finally shown weakness, finally shown a crack in his armor. Taking an advantage of this opening, CA hammers his attack home, throwing Rock on the rethrow, which utterly crushes Centurion's Scissors. The streak is over, then. Centurion has finally shown that he is mortal. What few people notice in the wake of the match, however, is that CA has won three straight matches and is putting together a charge to defend his crown at precisely the right moment.
CountArach defeats Centurion1
Sigurd, meanwhile, sees all of this hullabaloo and grins. Finally, he has a chance to gain some ground on Centurion. In his way stands Yaseikhaan, who has had a disappointing tournament to date and is trying to stay out of the bottom tier. A loss here would drop him to 11th place, only half a point ahead of Jolt. Sigurd, as has been custom with him, stares down khaan for a long while, as if trying to get a read on him. Eventually, he relents his gaze and the two throw: Rock. Despite the fact that the pressure has only mounted after the first throw, Sigurd actually seems somewhat relieved and promptly throws Paper. It covers khaan's Rock, and for the first time in several days, Sigurd is within striking distance of Centurion. However, his opponent tomorrow will do everything he can to make a difficult time of it.
Sigurd defeats Yaseikhaan
Standings through Day 7:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Centurion1: 5.5
Sigurd: 5
Csargo: 4
CountArach: 4
Double A: 4
Stildawn: 4
Thermal Mercury: 3.5
Sprig: 3
Sasaki Kojiro: 3
Death is Yonder: 2.5
Yaseikhaan: 2
Jolt: 1.5
It is now Day 8!
Day 8 matchups:
Double A vs. Sprig
Sasaki Kojiro vs. Thermal Mercury
Stildawn vs. Death is Yonder
Centurion1 vs. Csargo
Yaseikhaan vs. Jolt
CountArach vs. Sigurd

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
and let the fall begin.......
i didnt do the formula because of the problems with the .org......
*sigh*
And so the pattern holds true
Maybe with some luck it'll hold
You cannot add days to life but you can add life to days.
My pattern of complete inconsistency seems to have been noticed.
Awww, I thought I was finally gettin the hang of it too
I just have to say that I am actually lurking this with great interest. The writeups are really good, keep it coming!
