Ummm, what?
Are you the 'mender of souls', Textilia? Or perhaps some lyrical poet on the lamb?

Yes.
I walked out this morning and I wrote down this song.Originally Posted by A Nerd

Your touching lyrics are making me blue! :(
Silence is beautiful
Sweet dreams and flying machines in pieces on the ground.
Apparently she wasn't his girlfriend and she didn't die in a plane crash. He was however on drugs.
I get confused when people post quotes without these " " " ".
Mate of mine posted the last line from Se7en about "the world being a fine aplace and well worth fighting for: I agree with the second part" and I didn't recognise it and went into depression counselling mode.

Crazy, man! Quotes have a way of altering moods if interpreted correctly...or incorrectly. I often find myself drifting between mania and depression when I note appealing quotes.
"I am the last of the famous international playboys"
"I'm just an old bum, sad and alone"
:) :( :) :( Ahhh! I'm losing my mind!!!

Suuuuurrrrrre.
What's up with what's going down, in every city an every town...
Ronnie Krae, do you know my face?

Great song Reenk. It has been running through my head since you started this thread yesterday. Any particular reason for the sudden thread version of Fire and Rain?

Well if we're altering the mood radically then:
Living easy, living free, seasoned beggar on a one-way ride
Asking nothing, leave me be, check out everything in my stride.

How about this, the lyrics might not be exact
I go a walkin', I strut my stuff and I'm so strung out...
I'm high as a kite, I just might, stop to check you out...

Heard it playing while driving from another guys car, which was a very nice change from the earth-shaking bass you usually hear. Despite the fact that I had listened to the song all throughout growing up on the soft rock radio stations that my parents listened to, I just realized how good that song was, and yes, I had it stuck in my head for a couple of days too.
Was hoping for some more sing along in this thread but oh well.
Soft rock from the 70's was the best. I used to enjoy watch the countdowns on VH1 back when they used to play music videos! The 'Where are they now' specials and the comedic commentary about the 70's soft rock specials are also entertaining!
edit: post other songs you like in the future and I will join the sing along! If I know the words...
