Iskander was waiting to be upgraded to version 3.2, when he received a disturbing message:
ALL YOUR UPGRADES ARE BELONG TO US
"Oh Noz! Somebody set up us the bomb!" he thought. So he called his 6 closest friends together to figure out who was stopping him and fight it out. He figured that one of them was the one behind it all, and the others were of questionable nature too, but he didn't know whom else to trust.

Rules: Dethy mafia--one mafia, one cop (always gets right answer), one naive cop (everyone's innocent), one paranoid cop (everyone's guilty), one psycho cop (always gets wrong answer)...plus a mystery role. Standard 24 hr night/24 hr days, but I may have to extend to 36 on weekends.

Iskander, when does the game start? day phase or night phase?

There is no law of averages. You were mafia 4 times in a row, you're equally likely to be mafia now as you would have been if you were never mafia. Just ask YLC, who has been mafia once, I think. Does anyone have any suggestions for group strategy? I understand there is a solution to the Dethy mafia for 5 players. Not sure if it works in this scenario, so we shouldn't assume.

To be honest the solution seems complicated to me, even after I read it. Does it work with 6 players?

You did seem a little defensive, to be honest. I don't mind the accusations he's flinging around; assuming he's town that's a good idea to make the mafia impostor nervous.

"We'll help you," they said in perfect unison.
"kekekeke lololol that's great! But I know that one of you is the one pwning me! You must eliminate him! I think he has gunzors!"
"We'll use our trusty computers to investigate each evening, and during the day we'll vote on who we think the culprit is," they replied, once again in perfect unison. "Then we'll kill him for you."

One question, you mean no copy and paste night result right? So you can still do "innocent or guility" you can say as the result.

I was about to say, if that wasn't is the case, this would be a very difficult dethy game.

Agreed... i understand how to go about it for 5 people... the fact that we have a 6th mysterious role might make it difficult... we should have a clearer picture after night 2 if we work according to plan.

The idea is, we need to cover ground in the investigation, then we work on patterns and on those patterns we conclude who is what. I am guessing we can pretty much guess who is who by round 4. (in other words, 4 investigations) if it is done right. Could be sooner if we are lucky, later if we are unlucky.

Dethy is simply a mix of logic (and luck). The Mafia is seen as the "anti-logic" and you simply use logic to defeat him.
