    Default Takeda Campaign

Ok...So I'm going to do a Takeda blitz campaign and update this thread as I play with screenshots (like in that last topic).

My goal will be total victory in 10 years, starting in Sengoku Jidai period. Expert difficulty patch 1.02. No geisha or mass shinobi attacks.

Usually with Takeda I abandon the lands by the Mori and attack the Hojo all out, usually defeating them and the Uesugi within a few years. Since the game is too easy from that point and I've done it too many times, I will pretend Mori Motonari has given me a deadly insult("Your mustache smells like parmesan!") and I have vowed vengeance. I will abandon the 3 eastern provinces.

    Takeda cavalry chaaaaaaaaarge!

    Turn One

Didn't have enough forces to attack anyone this turn. Besides I knew the Mori would attack enforce. Trained one CA in Kai and started building silver mine in Aki. It will be a while till I can train cavalry again so I'm going to have to treat the few I do have very carefully. Moving all of my troops from the east over to the west and move the garrison from Aki to help defend Bingo.

As I expected, Mori attacked. 300 vs my 120 in Bingo, 120 vs my 60 in Bitchu.

Mori has 3 ys, 1 ya, and 1 sa taisho. The ashi's have fled by the time I took the screenshot, you can see my position on the hill. Not the best place on the map for shooting, but the height advantage is the easiest to use for the yari sam. I focus my fire on the ys to the left and to the right because they are farthest ahead.

The AI dithers about with one of it's yari sam(the one in the center that is routing with a lot of men left) leaving my two to go one on one with a good height advantage. I wait a little while and then send my archers charging in on the left. Mass rout.

    Final result.

I have 1 CA versus 1 yari sam and 1 sam archer. If the taisho was in the sam archer I could lure the ys away and hit the archer unit but that isn't an option with the ys taisho. I kill 24 as they cross the bridge and then...

...move back peppering the ys unit. Eventually it routs...

...and I chase down the rest of them.

So, killed 261 lost 25. The Mori are quite weakened and I have reinforcements arriving. I should be able to take at least two provinces next turn.

As this thread gets bigger I'll go back over the posts and replace the images with links so it won't take too long to load.

Well...actually I have quit this campaign. I thought it would be new and interesting, but it was really just like playing the Mori.

I started an Oda campaign instead, this time very new and interesting!
