    Default The Total Cuisine

Here is a thread, for fellow Orghas to share their delicious recepies created on the hellfires of their kitchens .I would like to start with one of my favourites:

Kagemusha´s chili peppercorn pineapple beef sauce.

    Ingredients:
    400gr of beef
    1 onion
    2 chili peppers
    1 red peppercorn
    1 can of pineapple pieces
    4dl of cooking cream
    1dl of beefstock.

First chop the meat, onion, chili peppers and the peppercorn.
Then pour some olive oil on a heated large frying pan or a wok.
Pour the wegetables in the wok fry them a little bit and then ad some black pepper and salt.Next pour in the meat and fry them also and ad more pepper and salt. When the meat has a good colour throw in the pineapple chunks and stir it all a round.Next pour in the cream and stir.Cook for an 10 minutes on high heat. Then pour in the beefstock and let it cook for a twenty minutes and its done.Taste it and if needed ad little soy sauce.
I would recommend to cook some Basmati rice with it.Satisfaction guaranteed.

Well, the Haggis pies I buy locally are delicious, but I couldn't tell you how to make one. It's steak and haggis in a pastry topped with taters.

I used to make baked apples pretty well. Here goes.

    You'll need:

Red Delicious apples (the type, not just apples that happen to be tasty and red)
    A sharp knife or apple-corer
    Cinnamon
    Brown sugar
    Whipped Cream
    Cooking sheet
    Tinfoil

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 Fahrenheit. More heat is an option if you're confident in your ability to judge a food's readiness by smell or intuition.
Step 2: Remove the centres from the apples you wish to prepare.
Step 3: Stuff apples with brown sugar, and I do mean "stuff". Go to town on those apples.
Step 4 (optional): Sprinkle some cinnamon in the packed sugar if you want the apple to absorb a little more spice.
Step 5: Place the apples on the cooking sheet and cover them with tinfoil. Put 'em in.
Step 6: It never dawned on me to really time this process. Bake it until it smells delicious and the skin begins to brown (this will require peeling back some foil, of course).
Step 7: Add cinnamon and whipped cream to taste. The centre is a good place for this, now; the sugar has all melted away.

Normally, an apple is good enough for a person, but you will feel sick and hate yourself if you force a whole apple down. Depending on your tolerance for sweets and the size of the apple, one apple can serve 2 or 3 people.

    Apple Streusel Cake

    4 apples
    200g sugar
    400g raisins
    250g butter
    300g flour
    allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg
    Round 8-inch ofen-proof dish

1.Core, chop and peel the apples. Add to sauce pan with 50g butter, 100g sugar and raisins. Proceed to "fry" them until the apples have reduced in size and are nice and tender.
    2. Take 100g butter and 200g of sifted flour in a bowl. First cut the butter into the flour with a knife, then rub it in with fingertips until it resembles bread crumbs. Add a few tablespoons of water until you can form it into a dough. If you have added too much water, sprinkle some flour until it becomes drier. Knead for a while, then roll out until large enough to cover dish. Put into dish. Add apples with its juices.
3.To make the streusel, take 100g butter, 100g flour and 100g sugar with the spices. Rub it all together like in step 2. until it looks like breadcrumbs. Sprinkle over apples in dish until it completely covers them. Put in oven at 175 degrees Celsius for 30-45 minutes. Enjoy!

    The Cheese Toastie of Kings:

2 slices thick cut white bread (fresh as you can, even though you're gonna toast 'em)
Butter/Marg/Spread (I find spread is quicker, and once it's toasted up there's little difference in taste - but try to get olive oil spread)
At LEAST two types of cheese - I recommend very mature Cheddar and any milder red cheese
Ham - lots of lovely ham! You could also use salami, parma ham, whatever
    Tomato - sliced thinly
Worcester Sauce - the most important ingredient, gives it that edge I find

Butter both sides of both slices. Lay on ham, torn into small pieces and laid thickly on bottom slice. Lay on cheeses, making sure both are mixed together well so they melt into each other. Thinly slice two or three slices of tomato and lay on top. Liberally apply Worcester Sauce, and salt and pepper to taste. Put second slice of bread on top and press down firmly so that the sandwich compacts well. Grill on medium heat until bread is yellowish-brown and all cheese has melted. Cut in half (once diagonally, corner-to-corner, very important) and serve on small plate with crisps and other nick-naks. Serve with hot mug of tea (milk and two, also very important), and enjoy.
