    Default Bush43 vs Nuri al-Maliki

With the advent of the new and improved "surge" strategy (which is really a tactic, but Bush and Co. don't really comprehend the difference) we have now further encouraged the new and improved Iraq Government to step up to the pump and be responsible for all of its citizenry (and not just the Shiites. For them to take control - with our military prouace and support, of course.

Will this work today? Since it didn't the other three times we attempted to make Baghdad a reasonably safe place? Or, is it inevitable that it will again end in failure? Only this time we will have al-Maliki as the scapegoat for Dubya's incredibly inept plan.

Regardless, I believe it is actually a smoke screen for the real intent - that being to justify a military coupe by a new and improved strongman to take over the reins in Iraq. Thereby allowing Bush43 to withdraw our forces, throw up his hands and say the Iraqis' have spoken.

It seems almost inevitable that the only way we can reasonably withdraw from Iraq is if the nation is stablized by any means necessary. The simplest being that we permit or effect a military coupe - you know like we did in Vietnam in Oct. 1963. Installing Generals inpower is something of a time honored American tradition - and it works, for a time.

IMO, this seems the most probable senario. That or chaos. I think they may have already picked someone out, btw, a general Maliki fired a month ago (Gen. Razzak Hamza - a Sunni). Time will tell, but my bet is it will take place before the end of the year.

This "Surge" thingy sounds ill planned and ill advised. Though, it probably makes more than a few coffins manufactures pleased. - and prostics manufacts too.

Will there be a coupe? That is the question.

Hmm... I'm just wondering why are you referring to him as Bush43? Well, if there will be a coup or not, I don't think Iraq will be a nice place for a while. It's a real mess, personally I think the US should try to find an effective and lasting way to clear it up, or at least help someone do it, rather than just leave as seems to be what many think should be done.

It doesn't go to sleep thinking, "I wasn't really a very good bear today". They are just 100 per cent bear, whereas human beings feel we're not 100 per cent human, that we're always letting ourselves down. We're constantly striving towards something, to some fulfilment"
