Default How (and why) to post a SaveGame

When you report a CTD, it's very important that you also post the save game so our EB bug hunters (and the large corps of knowledgeable fans who also patrol these halls) can look at it and try to figure out what's going on. Equally important, you should provide as detailed an explanation as possible, so we know what's going on (because sometimes it's a known bug and we can diagnose it without even opening the file.) Posts which amount to little more than "it crashed" will probably be ignored. And why? Because if it's not important enough for you to write about, it's probably not important enough for us to test.

Here is a link to Axifile, a free file hosting service that I've used for this purpose. I see that other fans use different services, so they should feel free to post links to their favorite upload service, too. Thanks in advance for giving us enough information to help you with your problem.

Edit: This is a link to Uploaded.to, another free file hosting service that might be even easier to use.

Just uploaded my "saved game" on Axi . My Roman game crashes any time I click on the "end turn button" IF I have the script enabled. Started about 175 BC. If the script is not enabled, the game goes along fine. The CTD seems to occur when the Eleutheroi are moving. Any help would be very appreciated.

You'll have to post the link that you get when the upload finishes, it looks something like this: www.axifile.com?#######

This game crashes for probably the same reason as this game:

    https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=81488

Discussion and possible temporary fix to continue the game in that topic, as this topic is a sticky with a different purpose.

I fixed the CTD But I think it's still important to show what happened? And how I fixed it?

    Romanii Campaign

    - Summer, 194 BC

    - Click End Turn, certain Romanii Units of mine make their move; Always moves to Vindobona and Ak-Ink Where I am recruiting Teceitos (Celtic Axeman) then it CTD's everytime.

    - Clicked it with and without Background Script activated to see if it changes and it doesn't work, still CTD's.

    Save File
    http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/5/...2/Autosave.sav

    -------------
    How I fixed it
    -------------

I stopped recruiting Teceito from both Settlements in bold and the CTD stopped, I'll try again to see if it's not a permanent problem.

EDIT: Right I'm back, the Problem is with Vindobona, Ak-Ink isn't the problem it's with Vindobona's recruitment of the Celtic Axeman that causes the CTD during Loading after End Turn is pressed.

EDIT 2: ME AGAIN!! :D Definitely the recruitment of Celtic Axemen at Vindobona that causes this Crash; I recruited Spearmen at the same location and the crash didn't happen but then I recruited another Axeman and the CTD reoccurred.

So I hope that's narrowed the bug down?

    184BC, Summer, Romanii Campaign.

I End Turn and it goes to the Rebel faction and it CTD's.
I've repeated it over and over and the CTD keeps happening.

I am playing as Rome. It is summer 160BCE and when I end my turn, the other factions turns get to the Aeudi when it starts to slow down. THey put a spy into my town (Avaricum) and when the computer tries to get to the Sweboz, I get a CTD.
I tried to multiple times on multiple days, but I can't get past this turn.

I got the Marian Reforms like 9 years ago. I don't know about other faction's reforms.

    I am still using 1.0.
I am pretty sure that I installed all the permenant and all the temporary fixes.

Probably just as well, since you wouldn't get any help until you posted your own thread anyway.
