Default You prefer which camera setting?

I choose General camera first and TW camera second.

I prefer the RTS, FPS, style camera. Really, though, it's not because of the way it works - it's much more because it is the type of camera I am used to in the majority of games which I play. With it there is much less learning to do!

The Total War-style camera rotates and goes forwards and backwards. You can double-click a spot and the camera will adjust position and angle, etc., etc. Perhaps you should try it out and see if you take kindly to it.

The FPS (or actually RTS) -style camera is quick and easy. The buttons for moving it will strafe, go forwards and backwards.

The General camera is the most difficult for your view is always restricted to your commander's unit and you view the battle "as if being the commander" more or less. This also the "coolest" setting that makes it more... personal.

Wouldn't that make battles impossibly difficult?

    Heh heh :)

It forces you to apply better attention to strategy. If you for example accidentally misplace an army in a battle your foe could find itself atop a highly elevated position and your limited view would give you a strong disadvantage while you gaze gainst a mountain.

Field battles are very doable, but siege battles can be very difficult with this camera setting and I would not recommend playing them due to the impracticality. A switch to an overhead camera is advised herefor.

I like the General camera and its controls, but if active in siege battles a more proper and effective scheme is required perhaps.

I'll go with the FPS/RTS Camera. It feels intuitive to me, as its similar in other PC titles.

The General's Camera is the most interesting to use tho
