== Unit Description ==
Swiss Armoured Pikemen become available to all factions in the [[MTW Eras|Late]] period, but can only be recruited in [[MTW Switzerland|Switzerland]].  While they are still limited by the short frontage of a pike formation, they are a great improvement over vanilla [[MTW Pikemen|Pikemen]] due to their training and professionalism, plus their armour reduces their vulnerability to missile fire.  Swiss Armoured Pikemen are also Elite, when combined with the high morale inherent in Swiss pike units this makes them very reliable in combat.


The faction leader and heirs of the [[MTW Swiss|Swiss]] faction will appear as units of Swiss Armoured Pikemen.
