Reinvent the British and you get a global finance center, edible food and better service. Reinvent the French and you may just get more Germans.

Glad to see you step up to the plate OK

Not to be too picky, but many times the last trait is cut off too much so that it's hard to make out the exact trait.

Also I wonder if anyone's gonna pick the 1 loyalty guy!

I see 2 that I want, but all bets are on that they will get taken

Alexandre le Sueur - Decent, nice name, and awesome portrait
Raynaud de Xaintrailles - High Command, has the "Smart" trait, decent portrait

I wanted to avoid taking two captures and then slog through combining them when it was only one trait being partially obscured. Apologies. If someone has a specific question about the obscured trait on a character I'll be happy to take a look at the save.

As for the adoptee, it's up to Ramses as Louis to accept or decline the offer.

Considering a player hasn't been assigned to him and we have about 50 RGBs to choose from, I'd suggest declining so as to leave a child slot open.

As for Cultured Drizzt Fan, perhaps you could rank your peferences for the available characters, send it to Zim in a PM, and when your name comes up we'll give you the highest ranked available character?

If someone particularly wants the character up for adoption I will accept (Partly because he looks like Vissa from LotR), but there is little to distinguish him from the rest of the chivalry pack so if no one wants him, as seems likely, I'll decline.

I actually managed to decipher those that I was interested in. Amazing how much you can deduct from just glimpsing the upper fifth of the text. My initial confusion came from some of the avatars having initial dread ratings and I tried to figure out from which trait the dread had come.

The loyalty bit is a shame on a few of the avatars. Some of them have other traits I like a lot, but I really have no desire to deal with the possibility of a character going rebel after I've put a lot of working into creating them.

And Eudes d_Argouges is indeed an error, correct? Otherwise his last name would be a nightmare to pronounce - dunderscoreargouges

I'm pretty sure those are supposed to be apostrophes, so we can just treat them as such.

No, you could compare it in English with a/an... Depends if there is a vowel/consonant following the "de"

I wonder if it would speed up the character selection process if the top 5 players on the list just ranked 5 avatars in their order of preference? That way, if they are not online when it is their turn to pick, they can be given the available avatar highest on their list and we can move on to the next 5 etc.

Also, it might be an idea to have an "alert" system like we used for successor games - when one player picked up a save, we'd PM the next inline to alert them - telling them that if we did not get a response after a decent interval, we would move on to the next one. That way the game was not held up waiting for the next in-line. I'd suggest PMing players 1-10 in the list to alert them and tell them if they don't reply or post that they are ready and waiting for their turn, they may be skipped when the time comes if they remain unresponsive.

I'm just thinking some players above Vladimir have not posted on this sub-forum for a while.

PMing everyone in advance is a good idea.

I will post my top 5 list after I get home. I'd like to look at the save before I make my selection, because the traits of the Kings, Dukes, etc. could theoretically impact my decision.
