This thread will be similar to the History of the Holy Roman Empire and the History of the Basileia Rhōmaiōn. It will serve as a chronological summary and a link to the various KotF threads.

First Session of the Conseil du Royaume opens. King Philippe will not be Seneschal. Duc Alain de Rohan and Duc Raymond de Provence stand for the position.
Christophe goes into the

King Philippe is
displeased with Captain Gaetan de Rethel for commanding the Order to besiege Bruges.
Duc Raymond and Raoul de Châtillon
duel for fealty.
1083
The Seneschal's
report: The English will not part with Angers for love or money. Modest buildings are begun over the Kingdom as a number of mercenary companies are recruited. King Philippe and the Order close on Bruges while Metz is besieged.
King Philippe
haggles with a merchant.

duel with blade and word.
1084
The Seneschal's
report: Princess Constance negotiates a marriage alliance with Spain as Prince Louis is married to Teresa el Valiente. A spy enters Bruges. Metz is added to the Kingdom.
Bertin
shares a cup of ale with Odo.
1086
The Seneschal's
report: German forces continue to violate the borders of the Kingdom. Bruges is taken by King Philippe. The Seneschal besieges Caernarvon.
King Philippe
grants Metz to the Duchy of Lorraine. Bertin de Montsault is named Baron of the province.
1087
The Seneschal's
report: A large English army approaches the siege at Caernarvon as relations with them worsen. Zaragoza is taken and Valencia is besieged. Enemy spies probe the Kingdom. Construction grinds to a halt as the recruitment of mercenaries and agents has drained the treasury.
King Philippe
strikes the first blow against the trespassing Germans.
The King, plagued by traitors and trespasssers, declares
war against the Germans. The Conseil soon falls into back biting and accusations.
Christophe Perrone and Gaeten de Rethel exchange harsh
words in the Tavern. Gaeten impugns the honor of the Prince and Christophe
demands satisfaction.
The Dauphin hears of the insult and
responds in the Conseil.
1089
The Seneschal's
report: France is now at war with the Holy Roman Empire, the Kingdom braces for this unexpected conflict. Caernarvon is taken. Staufen is seized when a relief army fails to break the French siege. The HRE is close to being excommunicated.
1090
The Seneschal's
report: The English refuse an exchange of land. Antwerp is taken after a relief force fails to break the siege, but German armies threaten the interior of the Kingdom.
Duc Hugues
guesses that Dijon is a German target. The Conseil discusses how to save the city and the disappearance of Princess Constance.
King Philippe
finishes the German remnants in Flanders.
1092
The Seneschal's
report: Prince Henri comes of age. Princess Constance seems to be missing in Italy. The Scots refuse an offer of alliance. Dijon is now under German siege.
Raynaud speaks softly but carries a
big stick.
The Dauphin
seizes a wagon and Marseille.
1093
The Seneschal's
report: The Scots accept a trade agreement but still refuse an alliance while Portugal accepts. Dublin is surrounded by the English, forcing a withdrawal. While Dijon is relieved, Staufen is now besieged by the Germans.
Prince Louis
hunts Germans south of Dijon.
Raynaud
meets Kaiser Heinrich.
1095
The Seneschal's
report: Frankfurt is taken and Emperor Heinrich slain in a failed sally. Staufen is lost while Metz is besieged by the Germans. The English refuse another trade of land. The Pope threatens excommunication if the Kingdom does not cease hostilities with the Empire.
The Duc of Lorraine raises a
stink in the Conseil over the invasion of his Duchy and Bourgogne.
Duc Hugues
breaks the siege of Metz and clears the area of Germans.
King Philippe speaks of his
displeasure in the Conseil over how the Seneschal has performed his duties.
The King
distributes lands from the Royal Demesne. The unratified conquests, Frankfurt and Marseille, will be granted to Lorraine and Aquitaine respectively if approved by the Conseil. Aquitaine is also given Zaragoza. The Order of the Fleur de Lys is granted Antwerp.
Part II: Duc Hugues de Champagne's Term as Seneschal, 1095 - 1110

1095 continued
The
Second Session of the Conseil du Royaume opens. Captain Gaspard de Neufville and Duc Hugues de Champagne are the candidates for Seneschal.
In a shocking, to some, twist, King Philippe disqualifies Gaspard from running and
joins the contest.
The Election for Seneschal ends in a tie. A second
vote occurs.
1096
The Seneschal's
report: A German attack at the Moselle ford is repulsed. Imperial forces, including the new Kaiser, converge southeast of Frankfurt.
1098
Prince Louis is
attacked by multiple waves of Germans west of Bern.
The Seneschal's
report: Prince Louis's incursion near Bern is pushed back. Kaiser Maximillian is now east of Frankfurt. The Germans reject a peace offer. Negotiations with England will be handled by a more skilled diplomat.
The Conseil
debates peace offers to the Empire.
The Prodigal Knight
returns to the Conseil.
King Philippe
attacks Kaiser Maximillian east of Frankfurt.
1099
The Seneschal's
report: England and Scotland are at war, as are Milan and Venice. The Rhine is quiet. Negotiations begin anew with the English.
The Conseil
argues over whether to negotiate or war with England.
1101
The Seneschal's
report: Princess Constance marries Barbus Selvo. Valencia and Caernarvon are exchanged for Caen. The English are excommunicated. The Realm's standing with the Pope is excellent.
King Philippe and Duc Alain seek
détente as the the Conseil begins debating a response to the excommunication of the English.
The Seneschal
objects and subsequently calls for an Emergency Session.
Prince Louis
seconds the call, and an Emergency Session begins.
The Seneschal's Emergency
report: There is currently no state of war with England. A Crusade has not been called at the present time. An
addendum to the report: Edict E1.3b has passed, there will be a Crusade against London soon.
1102
Duc Hugues
destroys a German assault in the second Battle of Staufen.
The Seneschal's
report: A German attack is crushed near Staufen. The Moors declare war on France. The Holy Roman Empire is excommunicated.
The Conseil is
jarred by the new developments.
1104
The Seneschal's
report: Staufen is taken. Angers and Bordeaux are besieged.
Prince Henri
attacks the Germans east of Frankfurt and
faces the latest Kaiser.
Prince Louis
crushes and ransoms the Jihad army of Sultan Tahar.
1105
The Seneschal's
preliminary and
regular report: The Jihad on Baghdad is succesful, leaving two Moorish armies threatening the realm. The siege of Pamplona is repulsed and the English heavily reinforce. Nuremburg and Bern are besieged. Valencia and Bordeaux are taken.
The new threat causes tempers to
flare in the Conseil.
1107
The Seneschal's
report: Nuremburg and Angers are taken. The Germans threaten Antwerp. King William flees to York. The Moors move into Italy.
1108
The Seneschal's
report: Pamplona is taken and the Germans repulsed near Magdeburg. Antwerp and Bern are threatened.
1110
The Seneschal's
report: York and Nottingham are taken. King William is killed. Hamburg is besieged. The last English army on the continent is destroyed. The Germans retreat from Antwerp.
The King
distributes lands from the Royal Demesne: Bordeaux to Aquitaine, Bern to Bourgogne, Angers to Bretagne and Staufen to Lorraine.
The Seneschal's end of Term
report: London is taken. Both the English and the Empire reject peace.
Part III: 1110 - 1125

The
Third Session of the Conseil du Royaume opens. Prince Louis and Baron Thomas de Saint-Amand are candidates for Seneschal. However King Philippe chooses to exercise his perogative and assume the office.
1111
The Seneschal's
report: The Danes declare war on the Realm and besiege Nottingham.
1113
The Seneschal's
report: Lorraine suffers twin losses. The King breaks the siege of Nottingham.
1114
The Seneschal's
report: Large English and German armies threaten the Realm.
1116
The Seneschal's
report: York is sold to the Scots and Nuremburg to the Germans. Frankfurt and Bern are under siege.
Raoul de Châtillon
breaks the German siege of Bern.
Prince Henri
sallies against the Germans at Frankfurt. The battle is won, but Duc Thomas de Saint-Amand is
lost.
The news of these victories
reaches the Conseil. The King also sorts out the leadership of Lorraine.
1117
The Seneschal's
report: The sieges of Frankfurt and Bern are broken. Edinburgh is taken from the English. Danish raiders are spotted of the coast of Albion.
Gauthier de Beauvais receives a
letter.
Duncan and Andre
discuss the Battle of Frankfurt.
1119
The Seneschal's
report: A large German army is thrown back east of Frankfurt, but a second one forces a retreat. The Danes threaten Edinburgh.
Prince Charles receives Staufen from his brother Henri in exchange for adopting Villain la Salle into the Royal Family, the King is not
amused.
1120
The Seneschal's
report: The Moors are repulsed as Portugal is assisted. Another Danish landing is crushed. Frankfurt is besieged by the Germans while Antwerp is threatened.
1122
The
Final Words of King Phillipe and the Conseil's reaction.
An informal
report: Peace is reached with England and the Holy Roman Empire.
