    +-Well Apparently there are now 100's of mods out there for RTW, unfortunately too many are quickly lost and buried in the threads.

    This is going to be a list of mods providing a short description and a link for discussion, previews and the download section

    I'm going to go through the forge and provide links on the completed mods although I might miss some due to not being able to tell if they are in work, in beta or completed due to the thread being lengthy

    If you don't want your mod to be lost in time PM me or reply to this thread and I will update the list.

    Also try to keep the description of the mod as short as possible to help keep the thread tidy. Preferably 1 line.

    HISTORICAL BATTLE MODS

    Historic Battles the org has ninja's pack with 15/16 battles and an "anon" pack with 31 battles - but the 31 battles dont change any other files, the battels are "inserted" into a standard version of RTW, means you can also use them with several different mods

    I would be grateful if you could add the following Mod, this might let new people know about it, and be able to play it .

    CONVERSION MODS

    Ages of Darkness: Total War [AOD:TW]:a major modification for Barbarian Invasion which will enhance the feeling of the period known as "Dark Ages" in all aspects: (new) Factions, Skins, Map, Gameplay, Music, Graphics, etc. AOD already has a stable 1.0C version, but but a new project of improvement also.

    greetings, Epistolary Richard was recently asking for information about new mods in this thread: https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=62910, from what I understand he's planning to make a database or to update this thread (this thread is SOOOO obsolete).
    anyway, good luck on your Mod I've been following its course and it looks very interesting

    I really advise everyone to try it out, the amazing amount of detail is overwelming!

    Vlad mod(barbarian invasion) need original "Rome: Total War - Barbarian Invasion" game + patch 1.6 (this is very important!!!!!)

    How to install the mod:
    1) Unzip all files in any folder on your comp.
    2) Open folder "Vladmod " and copy all files from this folder to Rome: Total War folder - where you have your game....
    3)Rename or delete the events.dat file located in C:\***\Rome - Total War\bi\data\sounds
    4)delete file map.rwm from ***\Rome - Total War\bi\data\world\maps\campaign\barbarian_invasion
    5)delete file map.rwm from ***\Rome - Total War\bi\data\world\maps\base :innocent:


    also i must say mod now using full limit units in game - it is not able to add any new units or not change units because you'll have crash in game and out in windows. This is very important too.

    I think it would be good if there was a list of which Mini mods are compatible with each other- I can't spare the hard drive space to make copies of rome and use 'em seperatley.

    I like mods listed in a very compact way and by category - this thread has done quite a good job but I feel it is critical that (probably in brackets after the mod name) the version of Rome be listed and also if it is a modfolder mod or not.

    Please do keep the description to one line.

    Warhammer; Total War's site has been down for a few months now, the original modders have all gone too.

    However, I'm refounding the mod over at Total War Center, and I should have a beta out by late March (I hope).

    But remove your link, please, it won't work.
